If I tried to list all the reasons I love John I'd be sitting here all day. Let's just say I love his songs, his voice, his personality, his looks, his sense of humour... and everything else about him, really! ;D

I love all the Beatles, but there was something right from the start that attracted me to John and I chose him as 'my Beatle'. Then I started listening to his solo stuff and loved that too.

I love John because he was different and unique (is that the same thing?), and definitely not afraid to show it. I love his imagination, his vulnerability under the hard shell, the little kid behind the man. I love that whatever came out of his mouth, it caused you to actually *think* about. He was a mind-stirrer, as well as a heartbreaker. Most of all, I love John because he was just downright hilarious. Any time I've read anything he's said or done, at some point I've wound up laughing so hard I thought I'd pee myself! hehehe He'll always have a soft spot in my heart.

Why do I love John? Who the heck knows? How can you say why you love someone if you've never met them? Yes I love the music, he's sexy, intelligent, unbelievably talented among other things....everything that could make you love someone....I always wonder (and the rest of us as well I imagine) what it would be like to really know him and have been part of his life..... now that I've assulted your pshyche's lol....Honestly I don't know where all this deepishness is coming from(anyalitical crap from school i guess....that's what college does to you)

I was looking for some quotes on "Dear Yoko" for my A-Z thread and found this: "it happens to be about my wife, instead of 'Dear Sandra' or some other person that another singer would sing about who may or may not exist." That's just a perfect example of one of the things I love about John – the way he wrote songs about his own life and his own feelings, rather than just making up lyrics that didn't mean anything.

when I first got into the beatles, the beatle I choice to be my favorite was John. he just fascinated me and still continues to, everything about him fascinates me. I can't explain the love I feel for this man I just adore him beyond words. to be honest, I liked him before I even liked the beatles. I couldn't even tell the others apart and kept getting them confused with eachother lol but John stood out for me but I love all the beatles now. *sigh* what I love about him? how about everything!?! I know I never met him and how could you love someone you never met right? but I don't know i just do. I always wonder what he would be like in person, wow the beatles wifes were so lucky!

Well..... lots of things to enumerate... - ''I don't wanna face it, oh no'' ...Everything is much clearer to me. Once John Lennon said, that he didn't want to be politician( of course, not in the literal sense of the word) in music. And that's it... In my judgement, he managed to do that.... That's why I love him & hold him in high respect.

I love everything about John, his story is one of romantic twists and turns. From the sympathy i have for him growing up without a father and being moved away from his mother and then to lose her a such a tender age. I have envy for his wit and rebellious early years prior to the Beatles rise to fame. I have much love to for the way that John's creative genius drove the Beatles to become what they are still considered today 'the greatest band of all time.' In this time John left behind with the help of Paul Mcartney the richest catologue of songs imaginable. I felt happiness for John in his time of change, when he moved on past the Beatles and to Yoko and to a expansive collection of solo songs some of which i consider to contain the best lyrics ever written which a wealth of thought behind them. And in his death i celebrated John's life, whilst i greived at losing my hero, i never lost touch of the fact John believed that death was like moving from one car to another. I just hope his new car journey is one of peace!

Why are you a John Lennon fan? - I am a John fan because of his music and personality. But mostly his music.
What do you like about John? - I like his attitude and his music and his voice. I like to think I have his quick witt as well. I have actually been told that by a family member who lived thru the Mania.

I can't even remember when I started liking John, since I was a kid, every time someone mentioned The Beatles, I'd jump and say "I love John Lennon" haha. Both of my parents were fans of The Beatles when they were younger, my mom's a McCartney fan and my Dad's a Lennon fan (no surprise I ended up loving both xD) but at the beginning John was my only favorite 'cause he was the one I knew all through my childhood. I remember listening to his songs with my Dad, his Dead anniversaries, seeing TV specials about him, etc. For me it was like John Lennon AND The Beatles xD. But four years ago, I decided to really listen to The Beatles' songs and I fell in love with them, I stopped liking them and started loving them. I also started reading about them and learning everything I could and realized John and I have a lot in common, the cruel sense of humor, our disability to show our feelings (other than in letters or songs) and a lot more, I would never end if I listed everything.... at first it freaked me out, 'cause every time I read something about him I found things I've said in the past (before I really knew him) in his own words, but it's kinda cool to know there was someone like me out there . And his music is just awesome, I feel related to most of them and it's like he has a song for every feeling I get, and it's awesome. I just love it way too much. What I like about John is that he wasn't afraid to give a honest opinion, if he thought something sucked, he'd say it just like that. I admire that he followed his dream until it come true. I love his wit and rebel personality, that he did what he wanted and not what he should. I just love every single thing about him.

I just started finding myself liking Lennon's stuff a lot more in the Beatles. Then, I started to listen to his solo stuff. That's it. I don't really care for his 'story' as it were. It's just about the music for me. I can't pin-point what it is, but his music definitely jumps out at me more than any other.

I think most of us find it difficult to put into words what it is about Lennon and the Beatles that has such an impact. I think it is something that is Spiritual, most fans of Lennon will understand what you feel without the need to communicate it.
