I'll have to go for Plastic Ono Band. I believe it's a great album, although Imagine is pretty close to it. To be completely honest, I don't think Double Fantasy is the great album he has ever made. I mean, it has a lot of hits, for sure, but the songs weren't that emotional to me. Don't get me wrong, it's a great album, but for me, it's not amongst the greats. I like Sometime in NYC, I think that despite the bad reviews it's still a good album. Most of the songs are agit-prop, and that's what John was feeling at the time. It's a political album, that's all. I think some songs are pretty good. I love Rock & Roll too. It certainly brings back a lot of memories from the wild Hamburg days.

I agree with what you said about Plastic Ono Band and I was tempted to vote for it myself. Love is such a fantastic song I can listen to it over and over again and not get bored. I had to vote for Imagine, though. There are just so many songs that I love on that album. Apart from the title track, there's Jealous Guy (one of the most beautiful songs ever written, in my opinion), Oh My Love (another really beautiful song), Give Me Some Truth, How... My third choice would be Double Fantasy. That's how I feel

Yeah it really does depend on the mood. Im so stuck on this....but Im going to go with Plastic Ono just because of the raw beauty and how poetic it is. But tommaro it could be Imagine, and the next day it could be Double Fantasy and then Walls N' Bridges! I love em all.

I have to agree it really depends on how I'm feeling at the time. The top two for me is Plastic Ono and Imagine.

I have to agree with musicalhab, it really depends. If you're sad and depressed, you might go for POB, but if you're feeling cheerful and happy, you might go for DF. Your mood changes it all, you know, as well as the different periods of the day and the weather. You may want to listen to a moody song if it's raining, for example. John was so incredible that all his albums were great, so you end up listening to all of them, sometimes listening to a particular one more often than you'd think.

I've been listening to Mind Games a lot lately and I'd forgotten how good an album it was! I think it might edge out Double Fantasy as my third favorite... But, as other people have said, it really does depend on your mood.

My favorite John Lennon solo cd/album is Rock n Roll because I love that kind of music.

It's a tough call...I think at there's at least one of my all-time favorite songs on every album...but I think I'm actually going to go with Walls and Bridges... I've been totally hooked on Whatever Gets you Through the Night lately...plus Old Dirt Road and #9 Dream, plus I think it's totally awesome that Julian gets to play drums on a song (Ya Ya)

Plastic Ono Band is a masterpiece. That's probably my second favourite album now. I love how John poured his emotions out like that.
