I was listening to Revolution 1 on the White Album and thinking how much I love it...but I also love the single version of Revolution (B-side of Hey Jude). Which do you prefer?
I've included a 'both' option if you're like me and can't decide, but I hope some of you will be brave enough to choose between them! I'd be interested to see which is most popular.

Sorry, but I had to vote for both, too. I think it's more a matter of how you feel at the moment, than a matter of taste. When I need it more calm or chilly, I like the White Album one better. But I also love the single version, maybe even a little more... but as I said, it depends on my mood! ^^

I think the White Album's version is better. But the best version is the one they did for a promo film. It was the faster version with the "Shoo be do wop" still in the background. youtube.com/watch?v=Gf-Q2rDd6Tw

When I was younger I was well into the raucousness of the single, these days I love the album version and listen to that as a preference. In fact I love everything on the White album. Did you intentionally leave Revolution 9 out of the poll? It would win for quirkiness.

Well, I didn't include Revolution 9 because it's not the same song, but it would have been interesting to see how many people would have voted for it above the other two.
I agree with Psycho Kitty that which one I prefer depends on my mood at the time.

Well, I didn't include Revolution 9 because it's not the same song I think that John saw Revolution, Revolution 1 and Revolution 9 as all one and the same. It is just a different way of expressing himself.

'Revolution 9' does actually have elements from 'Revolution' in it (hard to spot; they are hidden).
I'll vote for 'Revolution' though I am not really altogether sure about my choice as I do like the others.

I like Revolution 9 when I'm in the right mood, but between the other two Revolutions I prefer the one on the White Album.

I like the single version. It is tighter and faster paced. I love Revolution 1 though, especially the 'shoo be do wop'.

I agree with euanb about Revolution 1, although I don't think I can choose one. It really depends on how you're feeling at the moment.
