151It's All Too MuchLength: 2:25 Recorded: May 25-26, 1967; June 2, 1967 Released: January 13, 1969 on Yellow Submarine (UK) January 17, 1969 on Yellow Submarine (US) Composer: George Harrison It's All Too Much was written and sung by George Harrison. It was recorded shortly before the release of Sgt. Pepper. The song appeared in the Yellow Submarine film as well as the soundtrack in 1969. It's All Too Much is one of George's most underrated songs. 150I'll Follow The SunLength: 1:46 Recorded: October 18, 1964 Released: December 4, 1964 on Beatles For Sale (UK) December 15, 1964 on Beatles '65 (US) Composer: Lennon/McCartney I'll Follow The Sun is a song written by jointly between John and Paul. It was recorded and released in 1964 but was written long before then. The song has become somewhat of a cult favorite, despite its length. The song's lyrics center around a man who feels he is unappreciated by a woman. The song is believed to be him giving her an ultimatum, and that, as the lyrics state, "One day, you'll look to see I'm gone." There is an unwillingness on the part of the song's narrator that adds a tenderness and tragedy to his leaving: "And now the time has come, and so, my love, I must go. And though I lose a friend, in the end you will know..." 149Think For YourselfLength: 2:18 Recorded: June 17, 1965; October 12, 1965; November 11, 1965 Released: December 3, 1965 on Rubber Soul (UK, US) Composer: George Harrison Think For Yourself is a George Harrison penned song which is most notable for being one of the first songs to use a fuzz bass. It is a warning against listening to lies, unlike the misconception that the song is about his then-girlfriend (and later wife) Pattie Boyd. In his book I Me Mine he writes, "But all this time later, I don't quite recall who inspired that tune. Probably the government." 148Every Little ThingLength: 2:01 Recorded: September 29-30, 1964 Released: December 4, 1964 on Beatles For Sale (UK) June 14, 1965 on Beatles VI (US) Composer: Lennon/McCartney McCartney wrote the song in a music room at the home of Jane Asher where he was living at the time. He had hopes it would be released as a single, but it "didn't have quite what was required," and was released on Beatles for Sale instead. The song is somewhat unusual for Lennon/McCartney in that the lead singer, John Lennon, was not the primary composer. 147I'm Happy Just To Dance With YouLength: 1:58 Recorded: March 1, 1964 Released: July 10, 1964 on A Hard Day's Night (UK) June 26, 1964 on A Hard Day's Night (US) Composer: Lennon/McCartney I'm Happy Just To Dance With You was a song written by both John and Paul specifically for George to sing and was featured in their first movie, A Hard Day's Night. Paul has been quoted as calling it a "formula song," and John has said that "I would have never sung it myself." Despite that, the song has become a fan favorite and is still played on oldies radio to this day. The scene from which this song appears can be seen here: youtube.com/watch?v=6l1mtTxLHBsTomorrow: 146-142

146Yer BluesLength: 4:01 Recorded: August 13, 1968 Released: November 22, 1968 on The Beatles (UK, US) Composer: Lennon/McCartney Yer Blues was a blues parody song written by John in India. He said in a Rolling Stone interview that he used the humorous title as something of a defense mechanism, so that if anyone criticised the song, he could write it off as a parody. Aside from that, he claimed to be serious about the content of the song. The lyrics are extremely suicidal. The claustrophobic sound of the recording is due to the fact that the band recorded the song in Abbey Road Studio Two's "annex", which was actually a large closet in the control room. In interviews for the Beatles Anthology series, Ringo Starr affectionately recalls recording this song in the stripped-down conditions, saying it was like the old days of Beatles live performances. 145Why Don't We Do It In The Road?Length: 1:42 Recorded: October 9-10, 1968 Released: November 22, 1968 on The Beatles (UK, US) Composer: Lennon/McCartney While on retreat in Rishikesh, India with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, McCartney saw two monkeys copulating in the street and marvelled in the simplicity of this natural scenario when compared to the emotional turmoil of human relationships. The song features one of the most raucous McCartney vocals ever recorded. The song only features Paul and Ringo on the track. 144Rock And Roll MusicLength: 2:30 Recorded: October 18, 1964 Released: December 4, 1964 on Beatles For Sale (UK) December 15, 1964 on Beatles '65 (US) Composer: Chuck Berry Originally written and recorded by Chuck Berry, Rock And Roll Music was a part of the Beatles live repertoire in the early 60's. The Beatles recorded version has become as popular as the original. John provided the lead vocals and sang it as loudly and dynamically as his voice would permit. 143I Need YouLength: 2:28 Recorded: February 15-16, 1965 Released: August 6, 1965 on Help! (UK) August 13, 1965 on Help! (US) Composer: George Harrison I Need You is the second George Harrison song recorded by the Beatles, and first in three albums. It was featured in their second film, Help! The song is a simple, melancholy number, with a lead guitar sound achieved by Harrison's first recorded use of a volume pedal. The scene from Help! in which this song is featured can be seen here: youtube.com/watch?v=hWyKlXpstzo142Don't Pass Me ByLength: 3:50 Recorded: June 5, 1968 Released: November 22, 1968 on The Beatles (UK, US) Composer: Ringo Starr Don't Pass Me By is the first song written by Ringo that was recorded and released by the Beatles. Ringo had been pitching the song to the other band mates since he joined the band but wasn't recorded until the White Album sessions. The song has a country-tinge to it. Tomorrow: 141-137

141 Glass Onion Length: 3:50 Recorded: September 11, 1968 Released: November 22, 1968 on The Beatles (UK, US) Composer: Lennon/McCartney Glass Onion was written primarily by John for the Beatles self-titled 1968 album. The song is references many other previous Beatles song satirically. John did this because there was so much hype about hidden meanings and messag'es in their songs. The lyric in the song that says that the "Walrus was Paul" even fueld the Paul is dead rumours.
140 Long Tall Sally Length: 2:03 Recorded: March 1, 1964 Released: June 19, 1964 on Long Tall Sally [EP] (UK) April 10, 1964 on The Beatles' Second Album (US) Composer: Blackwell-Johnson-Richard Long Tall Sally was a famous Little Richard song that was covered by the Beatles in 1964. Long Tall Sally is one of the Beatles most wild recordings, with Paul's Little Richard-esque vocals highlighting the song.
139 I Want To Tell You Length: 2:29 Recorded: June 2, 1966 Released: August 5, 1966 on Revolver (UK, US) Composer: George Harrison Although a melodic pop song similar to the others on the album, the song hints at Indian influences, although less overtly so than "Love You To", another Harrison composition from the same album. It is largely built around a drone, rarely straying from its home key of A major, not even for the bridge. It features a flat Harrison vocal, supported heavily by Lennon and McCartney on backup vocals, in a fashion similar to Harrison's earlier "If I Needed Someone". It is largely driven by the bass and the persistent, almost hypnotic, piano pounding throughout the song. A distinctive guitar part opens and closes the song and recurs between verses, which lends the song some structure where it might otherwise sound formless (given the subtle variation).
138 Love Me Do Length: 2:29 Recorded: September 11, 1962 Released: March 22, 1963 on Please Please Me (UK) January 10, 1964 on Introducing...The Beatles (US) Composer: Lennon/McCartney Love Me Do was written principally by Paul in the late 50's. Love Me Do was the first single released by the Beatles and hit number 1 in the U.S. in 1964. Love Me Do is a great sing-a-long tune with a nice harmonica but nothing more. The lyrics and structure are very simplistic and that is why the song is not rated higher on this list.
137 Wait Length: 2:16 Recorded: June 17, 1965; October 12, 1965; November 11, 1965 Released: December 3, 1965 on Rubber Soul (UK, US) Composer: Lennon/McCartney Wait was written jointly by John and Paul and was originally recorded for the Help! album but did not make the cut. When Rubber Soul came one song short of a Christmas release, this song was brought back and finished up for the album.

I love all of those last 10 songs, by the way! It proves how amazing the Beatles were when there are so many great songs that didn't even make the top 100.
