How big of an influence did John have on you?

I think of him everyday---that is a huge influence in my eyes. I still cry when I view his videos on youtube and see his many faces through the years. He was one of a kind. Nobody will ever mean more to me other than my family.

I wasn't born yet when John was still physically alive, but he influences me in ways I can't even begin to explain. I get a very happy feeling everytime I watch him and listen to him, but sometimes it makes me cry because you know. He means a lot to me. I'm thankful that we have his videos, music, and photos of him. He will always live on through everything he gave the world as well as in the hearts of everybody who loves him.

John means also a lot to me and I think of him everyday and I will always love his music . His lyrics still have an influcence on me. He will be forever in my heart, although it makes me also sad, when I watch his videos... and it makes me angry to know that his murder is still alive Snoopy

It only makes me cry when I watch sad tribute videos for him. I enjoy watching his videos. I watch him on youtube all the time and of course I watch The Beatles on youtube all the time too. It pisses me off that nut is still alive. I think he should have been put to death for what he did even though John would probably think differently about it.

Hi I totally agree with you, Taylor . I think the bastard deserved the death-penalty . I also have a lot of videos about the Beatles and John on my IPhone and I never get fed up watching them Snoopy

I am always thinking of how John would think and deal with things. Honestly, his spirit is with me at all times. I genuinely share a lot in common with him in terms of personality and behavior. Witty, wise, cynical and introverted.

I can't really explain how John influenced my life, I was born 6 years after his death, so he physically was not a part of this world any more, I have to say in my younger years, I was more familiar with John's solo work than The Beatles as my father had some of his records, but I discovered The Beatles on my own. I never think of John Lennon as dead, as his death never really affected me, because George died in 2001, I know he's dead, but because John died in 1980 and I was born in 1986 I never felt the impact that it had on those who were there in the time that he died.

I was only 9 when John died so it didn't really effect me much. I think it his death would have affected me more if I was older though.

I can't imagine my life without John's influence. Love the music, love the message. His words and ideas helped to make me the person I am.

Ok well how to put this into words..Without John I do not think I would be who I am today..I wouldn't think the same that is for sure. John has always been my guiding light as it were..My earliest memory as a child is listening to the beatles and writing 'i love john' on all my mums records!
John is a HUGE part of my life and will always remain one..xx

He has a very big influenced on me, I think is because we both believe in love and we care for others, we believe in peace and freedom, he was honest and I'm honest If I had met John a long time before, I would't have made the mistakes thay I made, I didn't hurt nobody but I hurt me, myself but fortunately I met an artist that really changed my life, this artist that is heaven with John and I love with all my heart admired John Lennon and so I got curious about John Lennon and because my uncle had a dvd of John Lennon I took it and became in love with John and his music too, John Lennon has showed me almost the same that my other favorite singer showed me (LOVE), so I really think that we need more people like John Lennon in this world.

Besides the music, the message, its the nuances and idiosyncracies of John. There's nothing more fun than watching an interview, or reading one. Quick wit.
A lot of it, I'm sure I'm not the only one, but he's a spokesperson to someone like me. The way he feels about things, how life can have so much pain, you don't feel so damn alone. Well I do, but at least when he's playing on my radio (Old Dirt Road) or when I watched Imagine last night, I feel closer to him.
It takes a lot for me to cry, but when I see his memorial, when he died, and to see others in such pain, I can't help the tears. But what I love most is his honesty, what was not to like?
He should still be alive today. A lot of us need him, as John would say, "A father figure" someone I can look up to, someone I feel can magically see my work, my feelings, and maybe approve. Because he's gone, one can't help not to have conversations, and to feel that he cares for me, can understand my struggle, so that I'm not always fighting alone.

Hi Matt I read your message with high interest, as it reflects very much my own feelings towards John. I also never get fed up watching his interviews because of his quick wit and his incredible sense of humour. Yes, John was a very honest artist, which is hard to find in today's music-business. It's true that he should be alive today; at least we still have his music which will shine on. Snoopy

More than words can possibly express -- both musically and philosophically.
