June 18, 1963 Cavern Club, Liverpool, England

Chapter 1

I was standing by the stage as the Fab Four were getting ready to perform. I stood there just watching. I kept getting irritated every time I’d here a girl squeal madly at them. Damn I knew they were cute and all, but they didn’t have to scream like that, this place was too small for that. They seemed a little nervous for some reason, Paul didn’t look like he really wanted to play. Today was his 21st birthday, so no wonder, I’m sure he wanted to just relax, party, and drink to his hearts content, though he wasn’t the party type, at least not compared to John. They finally got all of their equipment set up and ready.
The first song they played was “Please, Please me”, I loved that song and mentally, in my own little perverted mind, I would think, ‘yeah I would, if any of you could give me a bloody chance!’ I smirked at my thought and noticed John look down in my direction and give me a confused look, I just looked up and grinned innocently, causing him to mumble the words instead of sing them. I laughed and he looked at me annoyed but amused at the same time, he was so cheeky sometimes. Paul noticed his little flirt with me and I’m guessing felt left out, he looked at me with his big innocent eyes and I waved slightly at me, he smiled and continued singing. What an affect I was having on these boys, it was great.
For the next song, they decided to sing “I saw her standing there”. The whole time, Paul kept glancing at me smiling. Some of the other girls were giving me one hell of an evil eye, but hell I didn’t care. I was having fun! Paul just kept smiling his big cute chipmunk smile as he sang the song, bouncing around. Their last song of the evening was “Twist and Shout”, which was always the last song, I was always at their shows, so I knew this. That song always killed poor John’s voice so he could hardly sing anymore, but the way he sang it, well it drove me mad. I loved his raspy voice, but I also loved Paul’s voice, hell I loved all of their voices, even Georges cute little nasally voice! They finally finished and packed there stuff up.
I walked over to the bar to get me a drink, when I heard someone approach behind me.
“Umm, ello…did you enjoy the show?” I knew the voice right off.
“Well of course, Paul!” I turned around flashing my flirtiest smile I could pull off.
He stuttered a little. “W…what’s you name?” Right when I was about to answer…
“Ello there bird!” John popped up behind Paul, Paul’s smile fell.
“Umm, yeah, hi, and back to your question Paul, My name is Jeanne.” I smiled again.
“Jeanne? That’s a lovely name…”Paul began to say.
“Yeah it is! It’s similar to mine!” John grinned. I shook my head at him.
“So, umm, Jeanne, What are you doing when you leave ‘ere?” Paul asked curiously.
“I don’t know yet, probably just going to go home and go watch the telly. Why?”
“Well today’s my 21st birthday, and I’m having a party, and I was wondering if, umm, maybe you would like to attend?”
“Sure, where at?”
“We’ll drive ya.” He smiled. We walked out to their car and Paul opened the door and crawled into the other side next to the window then I got in and sat in the middle next to Paul, then John sat on the other side of me. I was staring forward and felt eyes on me I looked over and saw John staring me, when he noticed I looked at him he smiled. A smile twitched on my lips too, Paul stayed quiet.
“Why so quiet, Macca?” John asked, tilting his head to the side. Paul just shrugged, he seemed very shy.
“So, where are George and Ringo?” I asked curiously, before Paul could answer John tried ringing in again with an answer but I put my hand up to shush him. He looked at me pitiful and stuck his bottom lip out then stuck his tongue out at me and crossed his arms. I just looked at him confused for a second and turned back to Paul.
“Cat got your tongue?” I grinned at Paul.
“Oh, no, umm, they are coming a little later, but I figured you could just ride with us.” He smiled at me sweetly.

Chapter 2

We finally arrived at his Aunt Jin’s house, and got out of the car. Before we went in John lit a ciggy.
“That’s a good idea.” I pulled out a ciggy too and lit it. Paul went ahead inside. John and I just stood outside puffing on our cigarettes. He kept looking at me weird.
“What?!?” I said annoyed.
“Nothing, just think its funny just an hour or so ago you were just in the audience and now you are lucky enough to be here with us, other girls only dream of this. And you actually here, little ole’ you, with us, the Beatles.”
“OH! So that’s who you guys are!!! That’s good to know!” I grinned evilly.
Looking annoyed at first then smiled in amusement. “Wow, your funny, I think maybe we ought to keep you ‘round”. We both flicked our cigarettes and walked inside to see Paul sitting on the couch doodling on a piece of paper. About that time we heard a knock on the door, Paul got up to answer to see George and Ringo standing there. George started off to the kitchen but saw me and stopped dead in his tracks.
“Who’s she?” George asked arching an eyebrow, smirking.
“I’m a hostage. I got tied up and forced here by Mr. Lennon against my will, please save me?” I grinned widely then stuck my tongue out at John. Paul shook his head and giggled and gave the real answer George was looking for.
“Yeah she was standing in front of the stage at the Cavern, and she caught my eye so I invited her ‘ere.” He squeaked slightly at the end of the sentence sounding slightly sarcastic. I smiled at Paul and then innocently grinned at George and stood up.
“Ello, George, My names Jeanne.” I extended my arm out to shake hands with him. He looked at my hand weird then walked off to go to the kitchen. I looked after him confused. Ringo came up behind him and grabbed my hand and shook it, and smiled.
“Well at least you’re nice.” I laughed.
“George is too, he’s just hungry and isn’t used to birds wanting to shake his hand that’s all.” Ringo informed me.
“What’s he want then, a hug? I can give him a hug if he wants, just figured that’d be weird for him.” George popped back in the living room eating a sandwich and walked up to me and hugged me then walked back into the kitchen. I looked after him, confused once again.
“He’s quite strange.” I shook my head then walked to the couch and sat next to Paul. A few more people showed up through out the hour, their manager, Brian showed up, then Their DJ Bob showed up, but Paul got distracted so he wasn’t able to tell me the rest of the guest’s names. John brought me a glass of scotch and smiled at me.

Chapter 3

“Umm…thanks, John.”
“You looked bored, so I figured I’d bring you a drink.” He sat down, next down to me, drinking his glass of scotch quickly.
“Guessing your wanting a drinking pal, so that’s why you came to me, or is it just you trying to get me drunk and shag me?” I looked at John suspiciously, slightly grinning. He smiled back at me trying to look innocent.
“Its a little of both.” I could tell the scotch was starting to hit him. I finished my glass as well, he went to get us both some more scotch. He sat back down a little closer to me than he did before, Paul looked over at him and got slightly uncomfortable looking, and he walked over to us and sat down.
“So, are you having fun, Jeanne?” He asked hinting to John that he wanted him to go away. John made an irritated face, and Paul smiled at him, as in to ask him please. John made a weird face, sticking his tongue into his bottom lip. It cracked me up though. I have never seen a face made like that before. Paul shook his head as John walked, well, stumbled away.

“Sorry if he was making you feel uncomfortable in any way, he tends to do that.”
“Its quite alright, I found it rather amusing, actually.” All of a sudden we heard John talking louder than everyone else, it started off sounding a little funny, and then it turned into anger. Paul and I got up to walk over to John to make sure everything was okay. All I heard was something about John’s holiday with Brian being a honeymoon, the some other obscenities about him not being a “queer” then I saw John leap across the room on top of the guy, and starting beating the hell out of him. Paul ran over there and pulled John off and I saw that it was Bob, their DJ. I was standing there in shock, John ran out the door and I followed, while Paul was trying to calm everything down inside.
“Are you okay, Johnny?” I walked up beside him and placed my hand on his shoulder. He walked away from me, trying to calm down, but I’ve never been the one to ‘get a clue’ so I walked up in front of him grabbing his shoulders again trying to look him in the eyes. He looked into my eyes with a very blank look, he cheeks were flushed from the alcohol and anger, she shoved me back a little, not enough to make me fall, but enough to still irritate me. I was about to say something else to him when I felt Paul grab my arm.
“You don’t want to do that, right now, he doesn’t care if you’re a girl, he’s too drunk. Come on John lets get you home, Wanna ride along, Jeanne?”
“Yeah, I’ll tag along to make sure everything is okay” We all got in the car. I sat in the back with John to make sure he was okay. Paul didn’t want me to, but I couldn’t just leave him back there by himself.
“How are you feeling?”
“I’m f**king fine, damn, what are you me bloody therapist?”
“Well I’m just trying to help.”
“I don’t want your f**king help.”
“Damn your such an ass when your drunk.”
“I’m sorry, Jeanne I’m not meaning to be like this toward you, I know you’re trying to help.” He looked at me assuring, then smiling goofily.
“You’re a git, do you know that?” I smile back at him teasingly. His anger was finally going away and he was getting to the daft stage of his drunkenness. We finally arrived at his flat. Paul looked at me, then I nodded to let him know that I’ll help him to the door, so Paul doesn’t have to get out, or doesn’t get annoyed or something. I got out of the car and walked to the other side to open John’s door. He stumbled out of the car, so I grabbed his arm and pulled him. We got to his door and he turned to me and looked at me.
“Yeh know, yer really cute.” He attempted to smile but it came out looking crooked.
“Yeah thank yo...” He then tried to kiss me. I pushed him and way and smacked him right in the face. He rubbed his face and looked at me in disbelief, then started cracking up laughing at his failed attempt.
“Guess I didn’t get you drunk enough, better luck next time, aye?”
“There won’t be a next time, because if there is, your face will be in the dirt. Now good night John!” I stormed back to the car, where Paul was trying his hardest not to laugh at me.
“What?!?” I looked at him trying to seem irritated but then I started laughing.
“The look on his face when you smacked him was hilarious. I’m surprised he didn’t get mad!”
“Good thing he didn’t.” I said, still laughing.
“Oh by the way, everyone left the party, but do you still want to hang out with me?”
“Sure, Paulie, it’d be fun.” I smiled. We got back to his aunt’s house, whom was already asleep. I plopped down on the couch, and Paul headed to the kitchen.

Chapter 4

“Can I get you something to eat?” He smiled.
“Sure what do you have?” I got to follow him to the kitchen. I poked around the kitchen for a little bit.
“Hmm, I think I’ll take a ham buttie, I’m not very hungry, just a little bit.” I went back to sit on the couch and turned the telly on. He brought me my food and we sat their talking. We paid no attention to the telly at all. We talked about music, because I’ve always wanted to be a musician, we talked about his band buddies, and we even talked about his family, and mine. I stayed there talking until around 2 in the morning. He then drove my small two bedroom flat that I once shared with my best friend. I swapped phone numbers with Paul. Unlike most girls, who would literally cream themselves at this moment I just smiled at him and thanked him like we’ve been friends for ages.
“Good Night Jeanne.” He smiled at me sweetly.
“Good night, dear Paulie.” I gave him a good bye hug and walked into my home. I walked into my room and changed into my green silk pajama set that my mother had gotten me for Christmas last year. I laid in my bed and fell asleep with a smile on my face, I haven’t done that in a while.
The next morning I woke up to my phone ringing.
“E..ello?” I said, still half asleep.
“Good morning Jeanne, How are you?”
“Oh hey, Paul, I’m great, just woke up though.”
“Oh I’m sorry I woke you, you can call me back later if you would like.”
“No, its okay I need to get up. What ya need?”
“I was wonder if, umm, you would like hanging out again today, with all for of us, sober.” He giggled a little.
“Sure I just have to get a shower, then I’ll be on my way over.” I took me a quick 15 minute shower , put on a black turtle neck shirt, black skinny jeans, and black heeled boots. I jumped in to my car and drove to Paul’s aunts house again. I got out of the car and walked up to the boys.
“Ello, I’m here!” I looked over at John who was wearing a black turtle neck and black pants.
“Oh bloody hell! Johnny, go change clothes I don’t want to match you!” I glared at him.
“Aww why? You look ALMOST as good as me.”
I scoffed, but then laughed and hugged John, “you know what, Johnny?”
“What?” He asked with one arm still on me.
“You’re a swine!” I grinned innocently and wriggled out of his grip.
His face dropped. “hey!!”
“Hey, how’s it goin?” I said sarcastically still grinning. Paul walked up next to me and hugged me slightly, trying to interrupt mine and John’s slight flirting.
“How are you today, darling?”
“I’m fine, still sleepy, so what are we doing today?” I asked curiously.
“Well it’s a relaxing day for us, we don’t have to go to the studio, and we don’t have a show to play so I thought we go have a picnic at the park down the road.”
“a picnic with The Beatles? Sounds like a corny documentary of some sort.” They all giggled at my smartass comment. “What about other people, won’t you get mobbed? And I get killed by crazed fans?”
“Nope we got it all to ourselves, John made a phone call, and now its supposedly ‘closed’ for the day.” Paul informed me.

Chapter 5

We all piled into Paul’s car and headed to the park. We got there in about 10 minutes. When we got into the parking lot, John jumped out of the car and started dancing spazzily around the car. Paul shook his head at his best friend’s childish antics. I just started laughing and the rest of us jumped out of the car. Paul tried running after John, but couldn’t keep up. Just when John noticed Paul was running full speed, he stopped dead in his tracks and Paul ran smack into him. Knocking John down onto his face. I was laughing so hard I fell over, causing George to trip over me and fall over as well. Ringo was the only one left standing so I decided to grab his leg and pull him down too. He tried to maintain his balance but ended up falling backwards onto his ass. About this time, we are all laughing so hard we couldn’t breathe.
I tried getting up but couldn’t, so I crawled over to where John and Paul were sitting.
“Well that was fun wasn’t it?” I asked, gasping for breath. I looked over and John and Paul were looking at each other, like they were plotting something. By the time I could think of ‘uh-oh’, I was backwards on the ground with John laying on me, grinning.
“Ouch! John! Get up!” I said grouchily.
He then started tickling me. “No no no quit!! John I’m going to hurt you!!”
“Paul, are you going to help me or not!”
“No!! I don’t want to get beat up by a bird! You have your fun!”
“Oh no…Paul…Don’t tell him that!” I said between giggles. “QUIT!!!” I got an arm free and punch him square in the side and he fell over off of me. I then jumped on him and punch him in the chest once as hard as I could.
“Ouch! Damn woman! That hurt!” I then started tickling him. “NOO!!” He squealed at me in a very high pitch voice, then started laughing uncontrollably. I finally stopped after he couldn’t breathe anymore.
“Ya know, you could have just pushed me off of you, I’m sure you’re a hell of a lot stronger than me.” I chuckled.
“Yeah, I know, but I didn’t mind having you on me.” He winked.
“Oh my!! Shut up!” I griped at him. Paul laid out a blanket and picnic basket.
“Finally, food!” George exclaimed and smiled, and grabbed a jam buttie out of the basket.
“Want one?” He asked me with a mouth full of food.
“Yes, please, George.” He handing me one out of the basket as well. We all sat, talked, and ate for at least an hour. They were asking me stuff about my life, my past, practically the same stuff me and Paul had talked about before. John had to chime in asking if I had a boyfriend, and when I told him no, he started attempted to flirt a little more, and pretended to be more interested in the things I was talking about. I was trying to ignore his stares, and talk to the others. Ringo asked me if I have ever played the drums, and I told him I did once or twice but still thought I was decent at it. I told them I’m better at guitar, singing and the organ. They wanted me to sing for them, but I was too shy so I decided not too.
John pulled out a bottle of wine from the basket and grinned big.
“I thought you said sober Paul!”
“I didn’t no about that one I swear, that was all John right there! He must’ve snuck it in there!” He made an annoyed face at John, but John was still grinning like a git. He poured me a glass first, then Paul, then Ringo and George. I sipped on my wine laughing at all the jokes they would crack, John was trying a little too hard but still amused me. It was hard not to laugh at him. Paul was being pretty funny as well. Paul started flirting with me a little bit as well. He was pretty cute, he had the biggest, prettiest eyes. I went into my own little day dream staring at Paul. John kept calling my name then poked me in the side.
“Jeanne!!” He yelled as he poked me.
“AH! What?” I jumped and blushed in embarrassment.
“Why were you staring at Paul, I think you freaked him out.” I looked at Paul again and he just looking at me with his eyebrow arched. I grinned, like I was oblivious to what just happened.
“Sorry I didn’t realize I was staring at you…I was…umm…thinking about something and zoned out…yeah…lets go with that one.” John shook his head at my obviously fake excuse.
“How are we going to get back to your aunts house?” I asked Paul, because I knew it would be a bad idea for us to try to drive. Paul told us he was going to call a driver to come get us, and he said we can all just stay at his aunts house because she was going out of town for a few days. We got back to the house, and Paul told me I could sleep in his aunts room, and John and him will take his room, and George and Ringo got the guest room.
“How come she doesn’t have to have a roommate?” John asked.
“Because she’s a girl and I’m sure she wouldn’t want to sleep with us.”
“ahahaha….umm…oh…you mean sleep sleep…umm..I really don’t care, I’ll sleep where ever you want me to.” I grinned at them. George and Ringo looked at me funny, Paul looked amused, and John looked like he just got a brilliant idea, that I for one did NOT want to know about. My filter system in my head failed so I was speaking my mind instead of holding it in, all I could think of was how bad I’m going to eventually embarrass myself. I sat down on the couch next to John, who was still looking deep in thought. I laid on his shoulder and dosed off. I felt a slight movement like I was being carried. I opened my eyes, and saw that I WAS being carried…by Paul. I closed my eyes again and next thing I knew I was waking up to daylight, laying on his aunts bed, with him next to me. I sat up fast confused to why he was laying in here with me. I looked down at him and he woke up a little.

Chapter 6

“Are you okay Jeanne?”
“Yeah, but why are you in here with me?”
“I was worried John was going to come in here and mess with you, because he said some things last night, and I didn’t want him to do nothing stupid out of being drunk. I was protecting him and you both.”
“Oh okay, well thank you Paulie.”
“Your welcome, well I’m going to back sleep, I’ll see you in a little bit.” I just nodded at him when he said that, then went to the bathroom and looked through the kitchen for some coffee. I made me a cup of coffee, with lots of sugar, then went and sat on the couch and turned the telly on.
“Good morning, luv.” I heard from behind me. I turned around to see John leaning against the door frame, with a irritated yet smug look his face.
“Morning, John.” I smiled at him. “What’s wrong?”
“Oh, nothing, don’t worry about it.” he walked over and sat down next to me, and smiled slightly, but it didn’t reach his eyes.
“You look upset, did I make you mad or something last night?” I looked at him, concerned.
“no, dear, it wasn’t you. I just have jealous tendencies, that’s all.” He didn’t look at me when he said this. He was really worrying me. I have heard about his really bad jealous ways.
“Not to sound…well rude…or to piss you off or anything, for one thing I’m not your girl, we’ve only known each other 2 ½ days, and Paul and I didn’t do anything, he slept in there to protect me, because apparently you were making some really nasty comments about me last night because you were drunk. He was protecting both of us, Johnny, okay? Don’t freak out. He just didn’t want you making a mistake, he was afraid you might would change my outlook on you guys, that is all.”
He finally looked up at me, “I guess you are right, you aren’t my girl, probably never will be so, heh, why am I worried about it. I mean who knows, I might’ve asked you to be, but I guess you will never know right?” He got up and stormed out the door. I was so confused, I had no idea where that came from, I wonder if he was still buzzing a little. I was pondering if I should chase after him, I decided it might not be a good idea, he seemed pretty pissed and I don’t want to make it worse. I just sat their on the couch, zoned out, lost in thought. Then I felt someone sit beside me. I looked up to see Ringo sitting there.
“Everything okay darling? You looked like you’ve been crying.” I hadn’t realized I was. I felt my eyes and noticed they were damp.
“Yeah I’m fine. Just got myself in one hell of a predicament I think.”
“Yeah I ‘eard John in here getting heated, I was going to come in ‘ere but I figured if I popped in I might make things worse for ya, so I kept my distance.”
“No, its okay. If I had a choice in the matter I wouldn’t have let anyone sleep in the room with me. It was Paul’s decision not mine. But I don’t think he’s mad about that anymore, he’s mad because I said that I wasn’t his girl, and I’m not…I mean I never said I wasn’t going to be, because I don’t know the future but he freaked the hell out, so I don’t know. I didn’t mean to hurt him or anything, I was being honest. “
“I know Jeanne, it’s not your fault, he gets very jealous, and he is much more sensitive then most people think, he’s very emotional. Don’t think any differently of him because of this, because he’s a good guy, okay dear?”
“I know, I don’t hold grudges, I’ll talk to him about it, when he calms down.”
“Alright, well I have to head home, but I will see you around I’m sure!”
“You will, and Ringo…”
“Yeah?”
“Thanks for talking to me.”
“Your welcome.” He smiled his usual big happy grin and then walked out the door. I sighed and pulled out a ciggy, lit it and started puffing on it. I really needed one of these, I forgot I had them. Paul came in and sat down and pulled out a ciggy too. He looked at me confused for a second, he knew exactly what was wrong, he knew his best friend too well, he knew he had gone and upset me.
“What’d he say to you?” Paul asked concerned.
“Nothing really, he was just jealous you slept in there with me last night, and I got defensive, and stood up for you, and he got over that, but I also snapped and said I wasn’t his girl, and he took it wrong, he took it like I didn’t like him I guess, and it just upset him that’s all. I’ll talk to him later about it.”
“Are you sure, I can talk to him.”
“No I need to, I upset him, I need to apologize.” Paul sighed because he could tell I’m stubborn and I was going to do it whether or not he wanted me to or not. “Well I think I’m going to head home now, before I upset anyone else, I’ll give you a ring later on today if I am able too, okay Paulie?” I Got up and walked out the door. On my way home I saw John walking down the side of the road, still sulking. I pulled over.
“Get in.”
“No.”
“Please Johnny, I want to talk to you.” He signed and finally got in the car. “Thank you, I didn’t want to go home, with us being like this, I want to fix it.”
“yeah…I want to fix it too…I shouldn’t have blown up like that, I’m sorry.”
“Yeah, you kind of freaked me out a little. I mean its true, I’m not your girl, but I never said I wouldn’t be, but then again I never said I would be either, when Paul invited me over, I didn’t have intentions of trying to be more than friends with any of you. You are all really great, and fun, and very amazing musicians. True I find all of you attractive, but I’m lucky to have the opportunity to be friends with you. I don’t know how the future is going to be so I cant say whether I’ll be more than friends with any of you, you understand right?”
“Yeah I do, I don’t know what I was thinking, honestly. It wasn’t right of me at all to act that way, I was afraid you would never speak with me again.”
“Of course I still would, John, you’re amazing, you just need to watch your temper, because I’m pretty temperamental meself.” I smiled slightly, as to make it seem as if I was being competitive.
“So are we going to your place?” he asked noticing that I was still going in the same direction I was going in before.
“I guess if you want.” so I continued driving to my house, we finally got there and went into my living room and sat down. We talked a little more about random things then decided to call over at Paul’s aunts house to see if he could pick him back up, he said he would. Paul got to my house came in and talked a little bit too, he looked happy that John and I had fixed things. They left, so I went and got ready for bed. I went to sleep smiling and thinking, ’ah the end of another interesting adventurous Beatlesque day’.

Chapter 7

The next morning I got up, and showered, got dressed and decided to go grocery shopping. With my new friends, who knows if they all are going to ever come to my house, so I need a full fridge, especially for George. I got home finally and unpacked all of my groceries and decided I would call Paul.
“Ello?”
“Hey Paulie! How are you today?”
“Oh, hey Jeanne, I’m well, about to head to the studio in a little bit for practice because we have a show coming up. How about you, dear?”
“I’m well. Just got home from the store to get some little munchies for you guys if you ever want to hang out over here.”
“Oh, thank you. So…what are your plans for the day?”
“Just sitting around, trying to find something to do.”
“Want to come to the studio with us?”
“Sure! Be there in 10!”
We all met up at John’s flat, and rode together to the studio, we were laughing and cutting up the whole way, it was like nothing even happened the day before. We finally got to the studio, and they got all of their equipment set up and we’re getting ready to start practice. Paul brought me a chair to sit on, I decided I wanted to sit by George, because I felt, I haven’t talked to him much, I’ve spent time with John, Paul and Ringo, so I figured I’d get to know George a little too. He looked at me funny at first when I sat down, I was beginning to think he really didn’t like me, then he smiled.
“Ello, miss.”
“ ‘ey there, George.” I smiled back. Then, John, being the ‘leader’ spoke.
“All right, let’s get started, lets begin with, ‘Please, Please Me’.” He smiled, slyly. They started playing the song and as the song progressed, my perverted mind didn’t kick up like it did the last time they played this song, at least it didn’t until John started staring at me. I felt eyes on me, and looked up and saw him staring straight at me, he then winked. Chills went up my spine.
‘My God, how does he do that! He so…ugghh…annoying, yet so sexy at the same time, damn I really don’t like the way that boy is making me feel right this moment.’ I glared at him, I liked Paul, always have but for some reason, there was an undeniable attraction between John and I that was getting difficult to fight. Paul was so cute, but still sexy in his own way, but John, he had that arrogant, bad ass kind of sexy. I stopped pondering about John and started mouthing to the words, but still kept feeling eyes on me and every time I looked up John would smile cheekily at me. I just shook my head and smile back, I noticed Paul was looking slightly unhappy, he wasn’t smiling at all, or bouncing like he normally does. Then George started playing ‘Chains’. While he was singing, I got up and walked over to Paul and started bouncing trying to get him to loosen up. His huge brown eyes lit up and he started smiling. He began bouncing with me, and giggled a little bit, I guess I looked funny.
George finished that song and I looked at him and gave him a thumbs up and he smiled. His face dropped, “Aye, guys…I’m hungry.”
“Aren’t you always?” I asked, smiling at him.
He grinned cheekily, “Yes I am, I say lets take a lunch break.”
“Good idea!” Ringo agreed, looking at me, smiling also, then walking out the studio door with George. I’ve come to realize I’m always stuck with Paul and John, but hey, I’m not complaining.
“You’re not hungry?” John asked me.
“No, not really, I ate before I came this way.”
“Oh. Well you’re having fun then?”
“Of course I always have fun with you…you guys, all of you.” I smiled hoping that neither of them caught that, I think John then though because his grin grew. Paul was oblivious to my slip up.
“Well I’m actually kind of hungry meself, I think I might go find George and Ringo and eat with them. Are the two of you going to stay here?” Paul said.
“Yeh, I’m staying, are you Jeanne?”
“Yeh I’ll stay, too.” John grinned at the thought of me staying there with him. I looked at him suspiciously.
“Well, I’ll be back soon, behave John!”. John glared at Paul, still grinning cheekily at the same time. Paul left, and I went and sat down on the floor against a wall and pulled out a cigarette, John came over and sat down next to me and lit it for me.
“Thank you, luv.” I smiled. He smiled back at me. I leaned my head back against the wall and blew out big puff of smoke. John was staring at me again. I looked out of the corner of my eye over at him, and gave him a crooked a smile.
“Why the bloody hell do you keep staring at me?”
“I can’t help it, you intrigue me, and I find you quite fit.” he grinned innocently at me.
I blushed a little, “well thank you, you are as well, I see more to you than others do, other people see the nit that you tend to me, the one that drinks to much, sleeps around too much, or the one who has a bad temper. I see the smart John, the passionate John, the kind man beneath the mask.” I smiled sweetly at him, hoping that this compliment doesn’t give him a big head and boost his ego too much. He smiled over at me, looking slightly surprised.
“Wow, Jeanne, no one has ever said anything like that to me. Your right though, no one ever looks through me flaws, they focus on everything bad that I do, sometimes Paul, George and Ringo do that, too, Paul mainly.”
“Well that’s because he’s your best friend, he wants to help you, my best friend was like that with me too but she moved so I never see her anymore.”
“But are best friends supposed to point those kind of things out?”
“Yeh, sometimes they do, it’s their job to be blunt, I’d love to have Paul as me best friend, he reminds me of my old best friend actually, just listen to his advice, don’t take it personally, he just wants to be there for you.”
“Yeah you’re right. You’re a good friend too, you know that?”
“Well I certainly do try.” I smiled cheekily.
“I wonder how long they are going to be gone.” John thought out loud. I cocked an eyebrow.
“Why?”
“I like spending time with yeh, just me and you, because we understand each other better when we are alone,”
“Yeah, you tend to try a little bit too hard when they are around, like you are trying to compete or something, its kind of funny I think.”
“Oh, so you don’t find it charming then? its just funny to you, aye?” he grinned.
“Yeah it’s charming, and cute, but still funny.”
“Cute??? Cute?!?” his eyes widened, he was trying his hardest not smile.
“Yes, I said you are CUTE.” I stuck my tongue out at him.
“Well, you’re a little behind the times then, last time I checked, I was listed under, sexy.” he attempted a triumphant smile, but ended up looking goofy instead. I couldn’t help but smile back at him he was right though, he is sexy. I shook my head still smiling and pulled out another Camel Light and lit it up.
“You bloody chain smoker!”
“Ah, you shut up!” I laughed. He then started humming ’Love me do’, and I started quietly singing along with his humming. He looked over at me and smiled at me.
“I like your voice.” he smiled kindly at me.
“Ha, thanks.” I looked over at him to see him looking at me, again.
“What now?”
“I don’t know, your just really cool, I’m glad Paul spotted you, and invited you to hang out. Though I’m sure I would’ve approached you too, but honestly, I probably would have made an ass of meself, with some kind of cheesy pick up line.”
I laughed. “Yeah, but its okay, I’m glad I’m here now, I never thought this kind of thing would happen to me, I’ve been to your shows several times, and you have never noticed me, think its funny that this time around you did. Fate has a funny way of doing things. I believe this happened for a reason, not quite sure yet, but I’m glad it did. I get to spend my time the four coolest guys in Liddypool.”
“And we get to spend it with the coolest bird in Liddypool.” I heard from the doorway, I turned to look, it was Ringo who has said that, George and Paul were with him. “You knew they were there the whole time didn’t you?”
John didn’t say anything he just smiled big and got up and walked back over to his guitar. The rest of them went back to their instruments as well. They started tinkering around again playing random stuff when I heard John volunteer me to sing something.

Chapter 8

“Wait, what?? Me? NO!!”
“Please Jeanne? We’ll sing with you.” He smiled his sexy smile, the irresistible one.
“Ugh! Fine. What song?”
“How about your favorite song, ‘Please Please Me’? You seem to enjoy that one quite a lot.”
“You already played that one. How about ‘Love me do’?”
“All right, we can do that one.” I walked over to Paul’s mic so stand with him since he had the solo parts in the song. He moved over so I had most of the mic. They started playing the song, we all sung together until the solo parts, Paul moved and let me sing his parts, at first I was shy, but then I came out of my shell and was having a blast! We finally finished the song. They cheered me on.
“We have found a fifth Beatle!” George blurted out grinning like a twit.
“Ha, thanks, but I think its best you stay the Fab Four. Not the Fab Four plus random bird. You might lose some fans that way, at least the ladies, but gain more boy fans though.” I giggled. I walked over and sat at the organ. I started poking at a few keys then started playing ‘Fur Elise’. I learned how to play the organ when I was 7, and ‘Fur Elise’ was the first song I learned. I then just started tinkering around playing some random unknown song. Paul came over and sat down next to me and started playing as well. Whatever song it was, it was starting to sound really pretty. Ringo started beating on his drums lightly and John and George joined in with their guitars. We were creating a song, and It sounded great! Too bad I didn’t have any words to it. We got finished with that and decided to call it a day, it was approaching 6 pm.
“So what now I asked?”
“We all go home and eat supper, that’s what.” George said sarcastically, smiling.
“Oh okay, damn I don’t want to go home yet.” I pouted,
“You can come to my place.” Paul suggested “I don’t mind, I have nothing else to do anyways.”
“Okay! I’ll follow you there.” I smiled. I gave George and Ringo hugs, then walked over to John to give him one, his hug was a little longer then I expected. “Have fun, luv.” He smiled at me.
I finally got to Paul’s house, and poked around his kitchen for some food. I made me some fish and chips and sat down at the table, Paul grabbed the same thing and sat with me.
“So did you have fun?”
“Yeah, I always have fun when I’m with you guys.” We finally finished our food and decided to sit on the couch to watch some television. He brought me a cup of tea and sat it on the coffee table.
“thank you, dear.” I smiled. “So, um, all of the guys think I’m pretty cool, aye? Because I was afraid George didn’t because he was kind distant at first.”
“Of course they like you, we haven’t ever met a bird like you. You’re a lot like us, your not snobby like other women, but you don’t freak out at us either, you treat us like normal people, and we like that. Your fun, and not to mention hilarious. Like George said, your kind of like a fifth Beatle, just not famous, because your right about the fan thing. They wouldn’t take too kindly to a girl joining the Beatles.”
“Well I do see you as normal people, true, you have loads of money, all very dashing, charming, and not to mention famous. But you are still human beings, with beating hearts. I’m lucky to have you as my friends now. “
“I’m very surprised that you don’t really fancy any of us yet.” He said sarcastically, winking.
“Ha, well I’m starting to think I am, but I don’t know if it’s a good idea, with you guys being famous and all.”
“Oh?” His eyebrows rose.
“Yeah…I don’t know how to approach it, I’m not saying any names, I don’t want any rumors started. But he’s such a great man, a lot of people don’t know it. He’s smart, funny, and great at what he does. He’s so talented, and his brown eyes, they are so pretty, and his smile it makes my heart melt!”
Paul looked at me, trying to figure out who it was, he grinned a little, he knew it wasn’t Ringo, he has blue eyes. And George has hazel, so that leaves only two. Either himself or John. I could tell he was confused, but I just couldn’t tell him. It was cause so many mixed emotions, he just wouldn’t know what to do. I saw a smirk twitch at the ends of his mouth, it was so cute. He finally fully grinned.
“I knew you would eventually fall for one of us, its hard not to right?”
“Damn, cheeky much, starting to sound like John.”
He just looked at me confused for a second, “Kidding! Then again, you are best friends, so it wouldn’t be a surprise that his attitude rubbed off on you. Anyroad, yeah, it isn’t hard, you all are quite charming.” I gave him a flirty smile. But it’s the truth, they are all charming in their own way. I lounged back on the couch to get comfy and started watching the telly, I really didn’t want to finish this conversation, so what, I have a crush on one of them, big deal, its not like something is going to come of it. They’re the Beatles, I’m just Jeanne, an average woman, there’s nothing special about me at all, according to them, I’m really not like a woman to them at all, I’m like one of the guys, yeah John thinks I’m attractive, so what that’s just a physical attribute. Paul seems to find me cute, I suppose. Ringo has turned into a big brother sort of figure toward me, so that’s a no, and George, well I just don’t quite understand him.
