Yeah, I'm one of those Beatles fans who started out loving Paul but ended up loving John. Every year on his birthday and the anniversary of his untimely death, I listen to his music and remember him for his life.

I've always been drawn to John, right from the beginning. I don't even know why or what started it; I just remember every day going to the library to print off bios and quotes and lyrics, checking out the only book about him they had and poring over it every day. I couldn't tell George from Ringo, but I knew that John was born during an air raid.
Everything about him just pulls me to him. I remember in the beginning--about a year ago--I was reading mainly about his peace campaign and Yoko and his post-Beatle years. I was just...so fascinated by all that. I drank it all in, the good and the bad, and it wound up going from fascination to respect to just...love.
Over time, I grew more partial to John around 1964, and then got pulled to the others, and now I'm about the biggest George freak you'll ever know. But...but I think of John, and it all goes away. He's the only thing I know sometimes...like right now. I can't put into words what he means to me, George or no...ultimately, I bow under John's hand. He just makes me...feel. He brought out so much in me, shaped so much of who I am, what I believe. He died twelve years before I was born, but he still rules the world.
People's lives are just...so small. Ultimately pointless. But every so often someone comes around to shake that reality to its core. John did that.
John...I love you. I thank you, simply for being. We miss you.

I love John since i'm teenager. He was different. He had many defaults like everybody and he shew it very well. I love his music and his life and thoughts are fascinating. He was strange but funny. He was touching (touchant, je suis nulle en anglais...) by his sensibility.

I was one of those fans who loved John a lot but later I fell more and more in love with George. But I still love John and his talent with music.

I think most of us find it difficult to put into words what it is about Lennon and the Beatles that has such an impact. I think it is something that is Spiritual, most fans of Lennon will understand what you feel without the need to communicate it. That is VERY true. I really can't explain it in words. It's felt through deep emotions that go beyond explanation.

Because: He is outspoken, bold, and caring. Yet, he was complicated and deep. Not just an activist- but a father and husband- imperfect and not claiming otherwise. Something that I aspire to be. I like him because he's something that I can look up to not as some godlike figure of a huge celebrity but a man.
Plus, his music has so much feeling in it (that's a hard quality to find nowadays!)

I love him because I feel like I really connect with him, in the sense that I feel we are alike in so many ways. Of course it started out with the music, then their looks then their personalities.. and I just found that I understand him, and I feel liek he'd be the only noe who'd understand me. I just feel a closeness. I love him.

I will always remember John as a one of the greatest singers, songwriters & musicians of all time. He was also a rock & roll rebel, as well as a peace activist, who wasn't afraid to speak his mind.

Its hard to say what I love about him. When I hear his voice I get all giddy and blush. When I hear is love songs it makes me melt. I love his wit/sense of humor, and also how smart he is, and the way he sees the world, his views. I love his creativeness. I also don't think I need to say how hott he is. Early on, he was a dreamy baby face which is what I fell for when I was very young (around 8), and his more mature looks later, I can't say I thought he was hot as a hippy, but attractive in a different way that I cannot explain.I just LOVE him , I'm glad I'm not the only one

I really like John Lennon for many reasons, but the one that really shines above all others is summed up in one word "Love". He spoke of it early and often and never waivered from it througout his years with us. For that, I will always hold him in respect and admiration. Bob
