I like both! Well, actually Beatles<->Lennon solo are two completely different kinds of music, but they're both special and great.

Now, don't get me wrong, 'Strawberry Fields Forever' and 'I Am The Walrus' are brilliant. If he just did these songs his artistic immortality would have been assured. But, I feel he came into his own with his solo career.

Definitely both. His voice was always priceless and amazing. During the 60's, he had that 'little boy' voice, but as he grew up his voice was changing and the result... was amazing. John Lennon at his best, if you'd ask me. However, he had always sang with his heart and soul, but his voice certainly gained more depth and variation.

There was a lot more Beatles stuff than Lennon solo stuff so I would say Beatles.
