I finally had the chance to see "The US vs John Lennon" last weekend. I thought it was excellent - lots of interviews and concert footage I hadn't seen before. It made me miss him more than ever. There's certainly nobody else like John around today!

I was watching it again this morning. It reminds me of why I love John so much (not that I really need reminding). I can't watch the end though – too sad.

I know what you mean - I hate watching the end of any documentary about John because they always end the same way. But apart from that, "The US vs John Lennon" is great, isn't it? ;D

I took my wife to a small theater here in Salmon Arm. After the Toronto Film Festival where it had its first showing, this was only about the 3rd time the movie had been shown Didnt tell her what we were going to see. She was so happy and loved the movie.
But she left the theater in tears.
Very powerful movie

I have seen this film twice in the last two days. With a fantastic soundtrack it is one of the best films I have ever seen about John. It hi-lights his struggle to stay in the united states and his battle for peace. It offers a fascinating insight into John's life with interviews with some of his closest friends and associates. A must see for any Lennon fan. Some of the rhetoric of the Nixon administration sounds like it has been given a polish and recycled by the Bush administration. it is eerie how much the political cliches of the two governments sound alike and reinforces the opinion that Lennon's struggle continues. 10 out of 10 for this film.

I thaught I was going to get to see the film all by myself because when I entered the screen it was empty thouh it should of been full but a few folk did come in around 5 actually

I've just finished seeing this movie. Wow, it is great. The way they pictured John, not just as a musician, but as a human and a peace activist... it's unbelievable. I loved the interviews and all the footage, I thought it was priceless. Seeing the way he fought all those politicians and never standing back is overwhelming. John was no ordinary person, he was special. Still human, but special. And to think that all the other activists were shot and that Lennon just kept going further and further without looking back... He was very brave. The end, as you all said, was sad. As nowheregirl said, all Lennon documentaries end the same way, which usually drive me to tears. This one did - I'm not saying which scene was most 'shocking', as I don't want to spoil anybody, 'cause those of you who have seen the film know what I'm talking about. 'That' scene was extremely emotional and I just burst into tears. And Yoko did get rather emotional towards the end of the movie. You've got to see it, it's brilliant. But not as much as John was.

I saw it on December 8th of last year to celebrate the life of John Lennon.
It's a great movie, the idea of being tailed by the Nixon administration is fascinating.
I should put this DVD on my birthday wish list.
