At the time of this release, Lennon's popularity was at an all time low, following on the back of Sometime in New York City and Lennon's Political activity combined with Lennon's split from Yoko, this was always going be a difficult album for John to get recorded. Compared to "sometime" Lennon had managed to get himself back into some kind of form, the songs were a lot more lavishly produced and John even had one or two good tunes to work with. This is one of Lennons more easily over looked albums but it has some great moments. The title track "mind games" is one of the strongest tracks on the album but my favourite track is Bring on the Lucie (Freda People) a fantastic track, Lennons appeal to the powers of the world to Free Da Peeple was brilliantly sung with the famous Lennon growl and sneer coming out in his vocals. This track makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck, Lennon advising the Leaders of the world that he had seen through the veneer they portray and He's coming to get em. Really powerful stuff and yet this track rarely features on Best of, or collections. My other favourite track is "You are here." My least favourite track is Meat City, I think Lennon has tried to record a hard hitting sound in the vane of Cold Turkey or I Found Out but with Meat City, He fell Short. Track rating: 1. Mind Games (8) 2. Tight As (6) 3. Aisumasen (I'm Sorry) (7) 4. One Day (At A Time) (5) 5. Bring On The Lucie (Freda People) (9) 6. Nutopian International Anthem (?) 7. Intuition (6) 8. Out The Blue (6) 9. Only People (6) 10. I Know (I Know) (6) 11. You Are Here (7) 12. Meat City (4) Stars: *** 1/2 (three and a half stars) The sleeve notes contained the decleration of Nutopia that you can read here: specialsections.absoluteelsewhere.net/LennonLoreLegacy/nutopia.htmlLove and Peace, Peace and Love.

Which song(s) do you like best? The title track, Mind Games, is my favourite song on the album, followed by Bring on the Lucie (Freda People) and Out The Blue.
Which song(s) do you like least? I've never liked Meat City much, and I also find Intuition a bit boring. I like One Day at a Time but I would have preferred it without the falsetto vocals (more like the version on the John Lennon Anthology).
How many stars would you give this album (where * is the lowest and ***** is the highest)? ***
Other comments about this album: This is a much better album than his previous one, Sometime in New York City. It's much less political and the songs are more melodic and fun to listen to. One of the highlights of the album for me is the brilliant guitar solo at the end of Aisumasen.

Which song(s) do you like best? I LOVE "I Know (I Know)" and "Only People" This album has a lot of songs that have really fun melodies and rhythms to them. "Bring on the Lucie" is classic. And "Out the Blue" is so sweet!
Which song(s) do you like least? Well, I'd be lying if I said that I disliked any song on this album. I guess "One Day (at a Time)" would be my least favorite.
How many stars would you give this album (where * is the lowest and ***** is the highest)? 5! ***** Other comments about this album: ♥ It's totally classic and I could not live without this album!
