What a beautiful song. If he had finished that in the studio, it would have made number one. I love and miss him dearly.

That's a heavy song from John, no doubt about it & it would have been even better, if he could have recorded it, in the studio.

I've always loved Grow Old With Me - it's so beautiful and romantic, and even though it wasn't completely finished it's still a great song. It also makes me feel sad when I listen to it, knowing that when John wrote it he would have been imagining himself growing old with Yoko.

This Song is so beautiful, it's full of real love feelings and I love it. I'm sure it would have been a chat topper.

It's not 100 % confirmed, but I read in Seamans book (I think) that J recorded that song in the studio, but I guess it was more a rehearsal than a completed recording.

Grow Old With Me was his last song?

All I know is it is "one of" his last songs. Apparently Yoko wrote a song called "Let Me Count the Ways" inspired by a poem from Elizabeth Browning. She played it for John and asked him to write a song to go with it, inspired by a poem by Robert Browning. Grow old with me was the song.
Also, apparently for the anthology's, Paul, George, and Ringo worked on this song as well, but they used Free as a Bird and Real Love instead (horrible remake in my opinion)

Grow Old With Me is one of the most beautiful songs John ever wrote, and just invokes feelings of such sincerity and vulnerability.. as if it were never intended for public consumption. literally a little slice of heaven. It's amazing to me that John wrote it. so simple and so pure. yet he's capable of Cold Turkey and Yer Blues. talk about running the gamut.
