One of John's most underrated masterpieces & a great song to Sean. The lyric " life is what happens to you, while you're busy making other plans " was heavy after his death. Beautiful Boy seems to get overshadowed by Woman, I'm Losing You & Watching The Wheels. I consider Double Fantasy to be a great commercial album, but it's not in the same league as JLPOB & Imagine.

I consider Double Fantasy to be a great commercial album, but it's not in the same league as JLPOB & Imagine. If you combined the best of John's songs from DF and MAH, which is basically all of them, I think you'd have a record nearing that standard.

I have always believed that Double Fantasy & Milk And Honey combined with just John's songs is as equal as Plastic Ono Band & Imagine cd's. And one of his best songs "Real Love" is not on either one of them. "Grow Old With Me ", "I'm Stepping Out", "Borrowed Time", "Nobody Told Me", "Woman", "Starting Over", "Watching The Wheels", "Beautiful Boy" and "I'm Losing You" make one fantastic record.

Where's the recognition for his Mind Games album? I think most of his greatest hits come from Mind Games and Imagine, but Beautiful Boy is very underrated I must agree.

Beautiful Boy is a great song; however it makes me sad every time I hear it because of the lyrics . It's true that Mind Games contains a lot of very good songs; it's my second favourite album of John Snoopy

Mind Games doesn't seem to get too much recognition even though it's a great album. I consider the title track to be the sequel to Imagine. Nobody Told Me on MAH has to be one of the best posthumous singles of all time. Beautiful Boy has to be one of the greatest songs from a father to his son.

We played that song at my son's 1st birthday... and my sis and I just tried to sing the lyrics through our weeping.

God, there is SO MANY incredible Lennon songs, but yeah Beautiful Boy is up there on my list. It's amazing and I kind of like the intro. of the song, it's cute.

Beautiful boy is one of John's absolute beauties. He had such a knack for capturing pure feeling in his music and he's pouring his heart out, very gently, in that tune.
Its one of those that really defines why he was so unique as a musician. very few can pull off a song like that.
