I think most of us find it difficult to put into words what it is about Lennon and the Beatles that has such an impact. I think it is something that is Spiritual, most fans of Lennon will understand what you feel without the need to communicate it. That is VERY true. I really can't explain it in words. It's felt through deep emotions that go beyond explanation. You know that so very true, once my dad asked me why i liked John the most and i was literally lost for words. Nobody but Lennon fans get it. Its a beautiful connection we all share and im so glad to be part of it.

When I first started loving The Beatles, I decided not to pick a favourite and to love them all the same. That didn't work out, because John just caught my eyes (and ears) every time. Can't explain it, I just love him ♥♥♥

Haha, just as almost everyone else has said, it's difficult to verbalize your love for John. It's something that just IS. I suppose if I had to try to express it, I would say that I love him because he was so beautifully flawed. He was so fascinatingly HUMAN. It's hard to explain, but I know you know what I mean.

All this talk of John makes me want to listen to The Beatles which is what I'm doing now. I don't think John was attractive when he was a hippie. I think he looked weird when he was a hippie. I don't understand why he hid his face. The beard made him look ugly. Not every man looks good with a beard. The only time he was ugly was when he had a beard. He was much better looking clean shaven.

im new here but it seems everyone here is posting about why they love john. i cant explain my reasons either. i remember the first time i ever saw john or the beatles for that matter. i was only 4 years old but i remember like it was yesterday.... i walked into my parents bedroom and my mom was watching the beatles performing, had to be a clip friom the 1960s because it was in black and white. i said to my mother "what are you watching"? she said "the beatles". so i went right up the the tv screen and put my finger on john and said "i like him, he's my favorite." and from that moment on i was a fan. when i was a baby i almost died. my mother prayed to john lennon to please watch over me and let me live. so she was shocked to see me pick him out of all of them for no apparent reason. throughout my life i must say strange things have happened to me that involved john lennon that has lead me to believe he listened to my mothers prayers and watch over me. i truly believe he is my guardian angel. most people think im loony when i tell them this. lol! if anyone would like to hear the things that have happened to me i would be more then happy to share my stories. i just dont want to bore you all to death if you are not interested so i shall end this post here. PEACE AND LOVE!

i don’t think i will ever be able to express the way i feel about him, about John Lennon. because when i look at him, i see pure humanity. i see his flaws, i see his virtues. when it comes to describing him, I can’t do that. because if i say he is a former beatle, no one will know that he is a pacifist; if i say that he is a pacifist, no one will know that he is a brilliant songwriter; if i say that he’s a brilliant songwriter, no one will know that he’s a father.. but i know one thing for sure - he means a lot more to me than i will ever be able to say. he inspired me to do many good things; he showed me that people change; he gave me millions of moments of pure happiness; he was in my mind when nobody else was beside me.. and though it’s naive to think that it will ever be something more than my own thoughts; and though i wasn’t even born yet when he was taken from this world; and though there are many things i don’t like about him - i truly love and miss him, i truly love and miss John Lennon. John Lennon 1940 - 1980

Before I was a Beatles fan, I was a John Lennon fan. I first was attracted to his wittiness in random videos I had seen of him in the past. Then when I first heard "Watching the Wheels" I immediately started to listen to his other music which eventually lead me to The Beatles, this has lead me to also become a big Harrison fan and somewhat of a McCartney follower, but none of them had near as much of an effect on me as John. On December 8th, 2009 I flew up to NYC to visit The Dakota Building and the Strawberry Fields memorial located beside the building in Central Park to remember the life and death of John. This was one of the most touching experiences of my life as I sung songs by Lennon while wearing my newly purchased blue shaded "granny glasses" and army jacket. I was not lucky enough to occupy the earth when he lived, I was 8 years too late, but I know that he has as much of an effect on me now as he would of if he was still alive today. Me at "Strawberry Fields" memorial a few days before December 8th.

I still can't quite describe the way I feel about him. I love and adore him beyond words. There is just something about him. I've never been able to connect with a person that I never even met as much as I connect with him. He's so fascinating and amazing. His music really touches my soul. I love his message of peace and love. His sense of humor never fails to make me laugh. I think of him and listen to his music everyday. He is what drew me to be a Beatles fan. Despite his flaws, I really believe that John was and still is an angel who was put on this earth to touch the lives of millions of people, not only with his beautiful music, but with his life and message of peace and love. I will always love and remember him.

Hi It's also difficult for me to describe how I feel about John; I just think he was (and still is) someone very special. I dare to say that he was the most interesting man who walked on earth . I never get fed up watching him singing, talking and joking (most of all). Although I think that all Beatles have humour, no one makes me more laugh than John. He was immediately my favourite Beatle when I saw the Beatles for the first time on tv. His music will always have the same impact on me. There will never be another artist who will touch my soul like John. Me too I will always love and remember him. Snoopy
