hello everybody. recently, i have re-discovered a Beatles Radio Broadcast that i was obsessed with when it first aired in 1981 called "The Days In Their Life". it was the complete history of The Beatles, with snippets from interviews, explanations of each of their songs, and it played every song they ever recorded in its entirety, as it was released on their albums or singles. i remember the local AM radio station played an episode twice a week, and the reception was terrible and i had to go to different parts of the house to tune it in, and record it to cassette. i listened to it all the time and it was my gateway into the magic and wonder of The Beatles. -rediscovering this has been a real treat. its 30 hours long spanning 21 episodes.
but i remember there was another radio program that was broadcast around the same time focusing specifically on John. i dont remember the name of it. it explained his life (and death) with interview snippits and a lot of music. it wasnt just an interview or a "Lost" Lennon tape thing... i have searched the internet and cant seem to find any reference to it, let alone a blog or podcast. a vague memory suggests Westwood One might have something to do with it, but i still cant find anything. the narrator was American.
its a lot to ask, but does anyone know what im talking about? it wasnt nearly as long or as involved as The Beatles program, but it was definitely in the same vein...
any help would be MOST appreciated
thanx
