With John Lennon coming out of retirement in 1980 and Paul releasing McCartney II, has anyone considered the lyrics to Coming up which contain the following lines?
You Want Some Peace And Understanding So Everybody Can Be Free I Know That We Can Get Together We Can Make It, Stick With Me
Do you think this was a message from Paul to his old Pal?

It could be. I've never thought about it before. I know John said he liked that song.

That was song was one of the main reasons John starting writing new material again. He thought it was Paul's best work in years and if Paul was writing good songs again then he should start writing again.

I wouldn't be surprised. After all, they loved each other.

I guess it can be possible After all, John said once that listening to that song and that album, convinced him to return to music
