Beatles Hotel, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!By Kitty Bean Yancey Photo: The John Lennon suite at the Beatles Hotel; by Christopher Furlong, Getty Images This week we've told you about a proposed Elvis casino/hotel in Vegas, Robert De Niro's luxe lodging in NYC and now, here's the debut of the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool, England. It's a hip boutique lodging, with Beatles-themed rooms and suites, including the John Lennon suite shown here. Room rates generally run 120-160 pounds ($237-$316 at today's exchange rate, ouch). Expect to pay $1,000-plus for the McCartney and Lennon suites. The hotel also can arrange tours of Liverpool locales associated with the Fab Four. I'd love to visit, but have you looked at TransAtlantic fares recently? Anyone who can find one this spring for less than $700 round trip, yell! Also readers, if you could stay in just one of the celeb-themed lodgings I've written about, would it be the projected Elvis resort in Vegas, De Niro's NYC digs, the Hard Days Night, or Tori Spelling's B&B? I'd love to stay in the John Lennon Suite if I could afford it. It looks amazing. It does look peaceful and minimalist. I think John would have liked it.
