I'd say yes he did have abit of a temper in Cynthia's book she reacalls him shouting at Julian for no reason and he told her when he & John were baking Mickey Mouse cakes in NY John made a mistake and Julian giggled nd John said "I can't stand the way you laugh don't laugh like that again"

Obviously John had a chip on his shoulder about his mum's death, so no wonder he was a rebel. In my opinion, I can't pick one, once he could be a lovely lad and an angry, bitter person almost at the same time. I think John was the perfect example of a person who has suffered a lot: for example, people suffering from depression often show off this type of behaviour: at first they might be OK, but a second later they might be crying and moaning. John is probably one of the best examples, because as George once said, he had the ability to be lovely, but he was terribly bitter at times, which wasn't entirely his fault; he had gone through way too much for him to accept life as it was. I would probably do the same, it's a confusing situation and once there's no turning back you go nuts, 'cause everything you do is never enough to save the other person.

Although John had a temper and said and did things he shouldn't have, I think he could be lovable too.

Yes, maybe he was jealous, but in my opinion, when a man gets really popular, he changes! I mean he was so famous and he had to dial with it, and that's not really easy.... John got changed. You have to be really strong to dial with it, and John lost his mother, and his personality wasn't that strong... after that.

Yes, he was the angry one. It doesn't make him bad or totally devoid of humour though. He was the funniest Beatle as well, so go figure.

Well, in a way, I think that he used to be angry inside, even though he was showing a smile to the world, just like he says in "Working Class Hero". I absolutely love John, I think that speaking about his inner charm, he was a lovely person, but I understand that as a reason of the circumstances that came up during his life made him feel bad. Poor Johnny...

eh,well I think as far John being "the Angry one" of the beatles (like Paul being "the cute one") I'd say that's wrong. I think he had a different sense of humor,a sarcastic, cynical kind which I greatly admire.

Call it bipolar, manic depression, it seems like John... Could be on top of the world one minute, to the bottom the next. Sometimes its out of control, but like he said, at least he had a vehicle.

Yes, he was angry, but he was nonetheless a beautiful person on the whole. He had been through a lot, so I think it is understandable that he was that way. Everyone is different. He just wasn't able to deal with his life circumstances very well. I feel really sorry for him. Even though I know that he had some serious problems, I still love him very much. It's a shame because he could be so wonderful.
