There's this guy in my work who hates Lennon so much and he actually said a really mean thing yesterday which I will not put here as it was upsetting. he said "Give Peace A Chance" what does that mean?

There's this guy in my work who hates Lennon so much and he actually said a really mean thing yesterday which I will not put here as it was upsetting. he said "Give Peace A Chance" what does that mean? I know how that is. My friend's dad hates John Lennon for absolutely no reason at all. I have asked why before and he will not say anything except that he hates him. Some people love John, and some don't. It is just their opinion, even though sometimes it doesn't make any sense at all. To me, though it really does seem impossible not to love John, for all that he did with his life. The only way to handle people like that is to just accept it, and maybe flash them a peace sign and say "Peace, well, I love John." They can't take anything away from you for saying that. apieceofsky.

That's just horrible. You have to just feel sorry for these people that they don't understand and are ignorant of the joy John can bring others. Whenever someone is massively popular and loved, there are always some that are sceptical and find it amusing to be flippant about them. It's just a way of being contrary without having to really research in to what they are saying. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but to say things just to deliberately upset etc. is pathetic, lazy and unintelligent.
Just be thankful that you appreciate John.

Everything that lucyinthesky77 said goes for me as all. As she said, which was perfectly summed up, be thankful that you aknowledge the impact John had and still has. The best is not to care, although it is a pretty hard thing to do - obviously you can't avoid that guy 'cause you both work in the same place. It doesn't matter what he said: you love John, euanb, and nothing else matters. If he doesn't, well, too bad, it's his lost. At least, you can feel the love and peace that John gave us all.

Mmmm...that's such a shame. Sincerely, those things can only come from a person with no criteria at all.
