It seems so unfair that a Region 1 DVD of Let it Be is available but not for those in the UK. I don't have a DVD player that plays all regions. Is Paul really blocking it's release because it makes him look bad? We all know there were problems in the band at that time! It's not fair!! Does anyone have it here in the UK or is it just you Americans?!

lucyinthesky77, all the rumours were false. Paul and Ringo are going to release the DVD, so don't worry. They never said it shouldn't be released.

They never ended up releasing it here in the US either,Much to every one's dismay. Paul and Ringo said they thought it portrayed the Beatles in a bad light.

I don't believe Let It Be will ever be released on DVD, anytime soon, even though it's my second favorite Beatles movie. I saw it on bootleg video, for the first time, back in 90 & it's a great rock movie. I got the LIB album, way back in 76, with the gatefold cover, when I was young, wild & free. Let It Be always gets a bad rap, whether it's the album or the movie, because the Beatles were breaking up, at the time. Fans should " dig it " a whole lot more, the music is great & the rooftop concert proves they could have toured back in 69.

I have always said that the Let It Be album is vastly underrated. I actually prefer it over Sgt. Peppers. Songs like "Across The Universe", "I Me Mine", "Two Of Us", "Dig A Pony"( I love this unpopular Lennon piece) make it one of their best in my opinion.

There will be a Tiger Woods sex tape or a Michael Jackson sex tape before Let It Be is ever released on DVD or anything else in the future. I agree with you 100% about the LIB album being underrated, it's a great classic rock album & the documentary is a gem. They should release the movie, along with the original album & call about 9 others the outtakes, as a box set, if it ever gets released. I saw Let It Be on bootleg video about 20 years ago & it's too bad some fans will never see it.

People keep posting it on Youtube anyway, so we can watch it there, but its not the same as having an official release on DVD. It should be released, it's an important part of Beatles history.
