So what do you think? I personally prefer the orignal 1970 version. Better Let It Be solo, better Across the Universe. One bad thing about the orignal is th pointless songs & jams like Dig It & Maggie Mae, which are just bad filler. Would much rather prefer some early Abbey Road tracks on the album instead of that crap .

I prefer Let It Be Naked.
I'm not a big fan of how Spector put the original together. Let It Be Naked is a lot more in line with how The Beatles invisioned the album. No frills and more bare bones. I also think it's a lot more solid. The inclusion of Don't Let Me Down, the exclusion of Dig It and Maggie Mae - which are essentially studio improvisations.
I also prefer the exclusion of the chatter before some songs, you wouldn't find this in any other studio Beatle album. Let It Be Naked rightly jumps straight into the song.
I think Let It Be Naked is right up there with the other top notch Beatles albums. There's not a bad song on there. It's just a shame Spector didn't get it right the first time.

I believe Let It Be is a great classic rock album, in its own right, even though it's not a masterpiece, like Revolver or Abbey Road. It's gotten a bad rap for almost 40 years now, despite having some great tracks, but it's because of the breakup of the Beatles. I heard the original Get Back bootleg album about 20 years ago, it was great, I also heard Let It Be....Naked, there isn't too much difference, except for Dig It. I got the original LIB album, way back in 76, with the gatefold cover, during my younger days.

I don't mind the whole 'I dig a pygmy' larking around stuff. Gives it a different quality. Still a great album.

Whenever I listen to Let It Be and hear one great song after another, I can't believe it's usually considered one of their weakest albums! I prefer the Naked versions of Across the Universe and The Long and Winding Road, but otherwise I like both albums. I also think Don't Let Me Down should have been included on the original album in place of Dig It and/or Maggie Mae.
