One of my favorite things to do is belly dance! I started doing it about 2 years ago and after quite a while I have just begun doing it again. It's one of those workouts that makes me feel absolutely amazing! The DVDs that I bought are by a woman named Dolphina and she really promotes a goddess attitude and embracing your femininity....I reccommend this to any and all the women on this board (and men if you choose)! Trust me you feel awesome! Ok, sry that sooooo sounds like a weird infomercial u see @ 3 a.m. when there's no possible chance of sleeping LOL sry

Hmm. I've considered belly dancing. I'm too shy to do so, tho. I'm sure it will boost some self-confidence in me, but I haven't yet the courage to anything like that. What made you decide to belly dance? Do you just watch the DVDs at home? Does anyone else do it with you? If I had bigger space and less shyness, maybe I'd try. ;D ;D ;D LOLOL this reminds me of that Shakira SPOOF video.. where a blonde haired-guy.. starts belly dancing like Sharkia.. IT'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here it is - video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8718728501056290731It's SO funny! Maybe we can learn a thing or two in there!

Curiosity and a need for something new made me want to try it and I do it by myself usually b/c I'm also shy when it comes to.....shaking......

I'm half-turkish so I guess you could say Belly Dancing comes naturally for me. (But my other siblings don't so I guess maybe it's just me) I've been doing it since I was 4 and I still love to do it! I've never took classes or anything,I just dance at home when no ones looking A few months ago,I was actually considering working as belly dancer at a Hookah lounge in town.
