ukpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5hBWTJsghO07oNFj8OEEhD7KGlxdgYoko Ono has sent a message of support to monks campaigning for democracy in Burma via a social networking website. John Lennon's widow urges the monks - leaders of peaceful opposition to the military junta - to "stay alive in peace and health". The Support the Monks' Protest in Burma Facebook group was set up on September 19 and more than 300,000 people have now joined. Yoko's message read: "There is no way we will forget you. Now that your work of letting the world know is done, I wish you to stay alive in peace and health. "The world desperately needs your wise and gentle spirit. You help all people of this planet by just being. Please try to be alive for the world. I will try the same. "With my deepest respect and love, Yoko Ono Lennon."

For some people, Yoko always has to be the wicked witch of the west, even if she's doing the right thing.
