John and Yoko were most active in their peace campaigning and other politics etc from around 1968 through to 1972. After that he was much less outspoken, especially after Sean was born but what examples are there of him talking about peace or being involved in any kind of activism in the later 1970s or 1980? I know there are a few, though not many, for example he had the words One World One People written inside the (Just Like) Starting Over single.

From the last Rolling Stone interview in 1980:
"You know, give peace a chance, not shoot people for peace. All we need is love. I believe it. It's damn hard, but I absolutely believe it. We're not the first to say, 'Imagine no countries' or 'Give peace a chance,' but we're carrying that torch, like the Olympic torch, passing it from hand to hand, to each other, to each country, to each generation. That's our job. We have to conceive of an idea before we can do it."
