Sitting there all that time. Quite amazing. John obviously forgot about it.

LSD is a form of acid. The Beatles started all started taking it, which was started when their drink was spiked with it by a friend. If any of you have red Cyn's book John, the really funny story is told there.

Well, the Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds thing, that was supposed to be an accident. I'm sure you've heard the story. John said Julian brought home a drawing of Lucy flying in the sky, with Diamonds, and wrote a song about it. I haven't heard anything about LSD being related to Bring on the Lucie (Freeda Peeple)? I've only heard about it being a protest song against the Vietnam war.

Well, don't forget that LSD actually is an illegal drug and absolutely nothing great to take. If you catch a bad day to take it you might regret it all your life since it can f**k up your brain completely. Have a look at Peter Green, great musician, but he took LSD in the 60s and never got over it until today - he still has got serious mental problems. If you need to take such stuff, stick to pot. It won't make you go insane at least

I've never really dug into the story that much, in fact - I have no one around me to hear that actual story from ;-) I'm not saying Lucie in the Sky with Diamons and Bring on the Lucie are related. I was just thinking they might..

Well, I don't know much about Bring on the Lucie so you might be right, or there could be a double meaning like other Lennon things, not sure. I did start a thread called interesting song facts where I asked ppl to post interesting facts behind a Lennon or Beatle song, I put a few there but noone bit, I thought it was kewl....

Well, everything about John Lennon is cool. But not everybody sees these other meanings behind the actual songs. Though, lovinlennon, I agree. It's very interesting what he "hides"..

I think it was a pun, you were saying he "hides" things, and she said in response..."Hide you love away"....I think anyway.
