Hello there everyone! :-) I am Jeffrey, 18 years old and live in the Netherlands. I have been a Lennon fan for quite some time now, and I don't really know anyone in my area who is also a (great) fan of him. Therefore, I went searching and arrived on this website. :-) I currently have about 7 records, 2 posters, 2 dvd's, 2 books and 1 magazine about John Lennon, and I'm pretty obsessed with him. I was born on December the 8th '91, and when I turn 19 this year - John Lennon will be dead for exactly 30 years. Therefore, I have decided to get his self portrait tattooed at 4:50PM (Dutch time, that is) With "Life is Real" written beneath it (the title of the song Queen wrote for Lennon). I am very, very pleased to see there are still so many (young) fans of John out there, and I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking around! :-) Edit: I have a list of quite some quotes on my website, some are lyrics from his songs, others are things he said. If interested: click!

Hello Jeffrey Welcome to this forum . You'll certainly have a good time here among many young fans like you (and a bit older fans like me ). Which books and magazine do you have about John ? Greetings from Snoopy

Thanks for the quick reply! The books: "John Lennon - the life" by Philip Norman (Autographed by him, too!) A small English/German/French book simply called "Lennon" (just a lot of images in there)
The magazine: Mojo - John Lennon (released winter 2000) His life - his music - his people - his legacy
The records I have obtained through a few second hand shops here. I have also been looking to get my hands on some Beatles boots.. without any luck so far though :-(

Hi Jeffrey, Well, the book by Philip Norman is quite complete; wow even with autograph . Oh, you have the Mojo-magazine about John; I'm getting jealous . Is it good ? I would recommend you the book written by John "In his own write". It's really worth reading it, especially if you like John's special humour You should find Beatles-boots on this site: astore.amazon.com/beatlesexaminer-20. Good luck ! Snoopy

I've been thinking about buying that book for a while. Currently saving some money for it ^^ But first I'll have to finish the 864 pages large book of Philip Norman. Thanks for linking that website, I'll look into it soon

Hi Jeffrey, You won't regret it, if you buy "In his own write". I think it's a "must" for every Lennon-fan . What do you think of the Norman's book ? Well, I hope you'll find what you're looking for on the website... Snoopy

Hi, glad your joining. I think what your doing is a great tribute, and I wish I'd done it. I still plan on getting John Lennon's autograph on my shoulder, one where he draws that little smiley with glasses.
I never knew Queen wrote a song for John. That's great. I looked it up online to read the lyrics and stuff. Apparently the song has a few Lennonesque musical qualities. I pasted what I found below, I thought u guys might be as interested as me.

Hey lovinlennon,
I think that's his self-portrait (my avatar) not his autograph. I also plan to get it tattooed. Thanks for the welcome!
What has suprised me so far, is that a lot of women are fan of John. I don't know why, but I did not expect to find so many women being fan of him. (not these days at least)

lol, no I meant his actual signature. Sometimes when he signs his name, he pits that little glasses and nose face.
So, why do so many women like John? So many reasons. His sense of humour, intellect, very attractive, creative, his music, his singing voice can make u melt and he cared about peace in the world.

Oh you do not need to tell me why John is so awesome. I completely understand why you like him so much, as I do too. But I was just surprised that there are so many ladies who are fan of him. I did not expect to find that anywhere :-P (Gives me a little hope, too)

Hello Jeffrey I would love to wear Beatle boots, too... but I don't know if it would be quite the same, as I'm a girl. My dad has some that he used to wear in the 60's.... Always great to hear of another young John/Beatles fun Hope the tattoo goes well! Christina
