Julian Lennon's new book "Beatles Memorabilia: The Julian Lennon Collection" published Shelley Germeaux September 16th, 2010
The new book documenting Julian Lennon's Beatles collection is now available. "Beatles Memoriabilia: The Julian Lennon Collection" is priced at $39. This is "A secret archive of Beatles memorabilia including lyrics, clothes, guitars and letters."
It is written by Brian Southall, who worked with The Beatles during his time at their record company EMI. Editor Roland Hall has thus far kept the contents under wraps because the publisher has secured a serial deal with a national newspaper so could not reveal specifics about the items. But he added: "Suffice to say there are items in the collection that nobody has ever seen before. Some were handed down by John himself, some came from Julian's mother Cynthia, some were purchased by Julian at auction and some were gifts from others—such as May Pang and Paul McCartney . . . There has never been a collection like this in print before."
Julian said, "I started collecting these personal pieces because I felt they belonged back in our family. This collection represents something of great importance to me, as it is part of our history." Julian Lennon"
Julian's photo exhibit is premiering tonight in New York, called "Timeless." Also see our article published today on the lupus benefit for his childhood friend Lucy, who inspired Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds.
