[glow=cyan,2,300]Umm, does this belong in this part of the forum? I thought it did, if it doesn't, please move it.
Guys, I read the book "The Lennon Prophecy," and here was some information I wanted you to see.
It said that the bad stuff that John had done in his life had to do with the Devil. In fact, the person writing the book said that John sold his soul to the Devil.
What do you guys think about this? I think it's very false, but I want to know your opinions on this.[/glow]

Many people have though that about the Beatles, John and many others. In John case I guess the “Bigger than Jesus” comment has a lot to do with the people’s idea of him been an atheist or anti-religious. I have heard about that book but I haven't read it yet though.
What I can’t believe is that in this century there still people in this world that can have that way of ancient and archaic thinking. Every time that a person or a group of people does something extraordinary thick minded orthodox people have to attribute it to witchcraft or to the devil.
John always had a very unique way of thinking so he wasn't immune to those prejudices. What are we, in Medieval Times? Or are we in the inquisition? Those people have no idea of how much they sub-estimate the human race every time that they make those kinds of retrograde expressions or when they promote those sorts of middle age irrational barbarian’s beliefs.
Is sad to live in a world where the most logical explanation to someone’s excellence is that he or she sold their soul to the lord of the darkness or attribute their success to dark magic and sorcery. Is very contemptuous and despicable to undervalue humans beings to the point of believe that all those great outstanding minds in history that had made important contributions to the world’s society, those men and women, artist, musicians, poets, philosophers, writers, scientist, architects and engineers, have excel because they were sorcerers, witches, devil’s worshipers or aliens beings from outer space. Do we human beings can’t achieve success for our own intelligence, talents and efforts or does the excellence have been prohibited to the human race for some divine curse?

Don't ever read it. You'll get just as fumed about this as I was.
Yes yes YES! I can't believe the author even thought about saying that John did such a thing! >:(
The rest... I have no comment about the rest of what your wrote. It's perfection with "perfection" written all over it.[/glow]

I don't believe that he sold his soul. I know that none of us were John nor knew him personally, but that just doesn't seem like something that he would do. A lot of people like to say that he did, but I highly doubt it.
