Mine has always been and always will be The Bootleg Beatles of course I like other Beatles bands but The BB's took my breath away when I first saw them in 1999. I'm actually thinking of running a Bootleg Beatles Fan Club so if you are a fan stay tuned

I've only seen a few tribute bands but the Bootleg Beatles were probably the best I've seen so far. I also thought Johnny Silver and his band were good. Have you seen the Backbeat Beatles? I've just bought tickets to see them so I hope they're okay.

I've heard a few Beatles tribute bands on youtube just to hear how they sound. The one's I heard were good but they didn't sound as much like The Beatles as The Beatles themselves.

They sound like a great band, lennonchik! Thanks for the link. You're lucky to have met Pete Best! What was he like?

Pete Best was great and so was the whole band...one of the guitar players actually looked like Paul McCartney too it was a lot of fun. We all danced and everyone got completely hammered because people kept sending drinks to the guys on stage, but it was great (oh and he can play the drums just as well as Ringo :-D)

I saw the Backbeat Beatles a few weeks ago and I thought they were good, though some of the other tribute bands I've seen were better. I thought their Paul (Chris O'Neil, who played George in the Backbeat movie) was excellent. They put on quite a good show with three costume changes for the Beatlemania, Sgt Pepper and Late 60s periods. It's definitely worth going to see them if they're playing anywhere near you.

That's a great cover of Norwegian Wood. I've never had the chance to see the Cavern Beatles before.

I'm going to see The Bootleg Beatles again in December - only six weeks to wait! Has anyone else seen any tribute bands lately, or are planning to see one?
