I love the Doors - they're one of my favourite bands after the Beatles. I think their first album "The Doors" has to be one of the best debut albums ever. Who else here likes them?

I also agree about the Doors Debut. I am not mad about them as I think they lost it after their early success (only my opinion) but the first album I bought on impulse and was blown away by how great it was. The End would easily be in my top 100 songs of all time.

There were some good songs on their later albums too but I agree the first one was the best.

Yes their debut album The Doors was a fantastic album, but I think their second one Strange Days was almost as good, maybe better. However I think all thier albums have some merit, The Soft Parade is probably my least favorite.

I love Unhappy Girl, People Are Strange (I think I mentioned that one before), Moonlight Drive, and Love Me Two Times, but there are some songs on that album I don't like much. I think The Doors was a stronger album overall.

The Doors are easily one of my favorite bands of all time. I'm a huge Ray Manzarek fan. My favorite Doors song is "L.A. Woman." I own their debut album on vinyl, which is amazing, and their last album (with Jim) L.A. Woman. I also have Oliver Stone's 1991 movie about the group.

While we are having a doors thing happening can I put in a vote for The End as one of the great songs of all time, I know the theme is a little creepy but this tune somehow suits Morrison and his delivery was perfect. "The Killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on" perfect. I also love Spanish caravan.
