It's good to see someone mention All I've Got To Do - it's one of my favourite songs from their early albums, and yes, John's vocal is great. Dont you mean Thank You Girl??? No, I mean All I've Got To Do from the With The Beatles album. Thank You Girl is a different song. By the way lucyinthesky, that last post was varsity, not me.

oh man, i can't decide really. but um - i guess at the moment, his best vocal (for me, well), would be Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. oh but there are so much songs of his. some of which i can't even finish sometimes b/c i'll start to cry when i realize he's no longer with us. T.T his voice just gets to me in songs such as: Ain't She Sweet To Know Her is to Lover Her This Boy i dunno why, but early songs like these get to me more than later songs. i dunno why, really. i can't finish them all the way through most of the time. and now too, All My Loving is another song i can't listen to anymore without wanting to bawl have you guys heard how they were playing that song as John died in the hospital? oh gid ... seriosuly. when i found out, that songs wasn't the same to me anymore.

Twist & Shout, I'll Cry Instead, Yes It Is, I'm Only Sleeping, Tomorrow Never Knows, Good Morning Good Morning, I'm So Tired, Sexy Sadie, Revolution, Come Together, Across The Universe, Well Well Well, Imagine, John Sinclair & Woman are just a few classics of John's best vocals.

My vote would be for John's vocal in "This Boy". That middle section he sings by himself is so full of emotion----it is astounding. I remember seeing and hearing them do this song on The Sullivan show and even though I was only 13, I was floored. I still am everytime I hear it.

update since my last response:
1.Twist And Shout 2. This Boy 3.It's Only Love 4.No Reply 5.I'm A Loser
I will always be mesmerized by his voice. As for female singers, Karen Carpenter is my favorite and again, her voice is one in a billion. John Lennon once said that Karen was his all time favorite singer.
