Are there any songs by Paul, George or Ringo (Beatles or solo) that you would like to have heard John sing? Or maybe one of John's songs that you think could have been sung by one of the other Beatles. Lol! I know they're all perfect the way they are, but I'm bored and it's something interesting to think about. ;D

hmm...
I would have liked to hear John sing Helter Skelter, he would have made it more sinister.

The only one I can think of at the moment is Oh! Darling. In John's Playboy interview he said he thought he could have done it better than Paul because it was more his style, so I would have liked to have heard him sing it. I know he does sing a few lines on the Anthology version, but that wasn't a serious attempt. It would have been interesting, because I think it's a great vocal from Paul.

I wish John had sung Good Night himself instead of giving it to Ringo. I think Ringo sang it well, but since it was written as a lullaby for Julian it would have meant more to hear John singing it. This is what Paul said about it:
"I think John felt it might not be good for his image for him to sing it, but it was fabulous to hear him do it, he sang it great. We heard him sing it in order to teach it to Ringo and he sang it very tenderly. John rarely showed his tender side, but my key memories of John are when he was tender, that's what has remained with me-- those moments where he showed himself to be a very generous, loving person. I always cite that song as an example of the John beneath the surface that we only saw occasionally...I don't think John's version was ever recorded."

I would have liked to hear John sing "Do You Want to Know a Secret" instead of George, because that song has a personal meaning to him and the rhythm of the song is simply pure John's stile, every time I heard it I can close my eyes and picture John playing it on his guitar doing this up and down movements hehehe.

Definitely! I've always thought about that
