I think this is a great book, even though it does have one or two errors in it (for example, Cynthia said that John wrote "All My Loving" for her, when it was actually one of Paul's songs.)
In my opinion, the most interesting books are the ones that were written by people who knew John personally.
I love reading about the early days of John and Cynthia's relationship before he was famous.
Has anyone else read this book?

Yes I am actually reading it for the second time! It's sooo good! I noticed that error too, but maybe John wrote it and Paul sang it? I know they wrote together a lot....hmmmm.

I'm still in the process of reading it, but I haven't picked it up again for a long time. So far tho, I like it. But I admit I have to go back and skim what I've already read in order to pick up again!

A good book, it certainly describes another aspect of Lennon's private life, Cynthia admits herself that she was naive and she comes across that way. One thing though, it describes in great detail how terribly Cynthia and Julian were treated after the seperation from John, not only by John but also by the rest of the Beatles family. The only person who had the decency to see that the family were alright was Paul. The most heart wrenching part of this book is where Cynthia tried to return home in time to be the one to break the News to Julian about John's Death. When she approached her home she found it under seige by the press. It seems she found some kind of Happiness after John but I think Julian is still fighting the demons of his father as John was before him.

I enjoyed Cynthia's book. I've just finished reading it for the second time. It's quite sad towards the end, reading how she and Julian were treated but I love the earlier chapters where she writes about meeting John and what he was like before the Beatles. It's one of my favourite books that I've read about John.

I have read both of Cyn's books, and I didn't see too much of a difference between the two. However, I wanted to say that I saw "John" in hardback in the discount asile of Borders books last weeked for $4.99. At that price, everyone should get it!

I haven't read her first book so I'm glad to know there aren't many differences. Welcome Sara, by the way!

Oh dear, I love to read your comments about the book, because I ordered it a few days ago and I think I'll get it tomorrow! Just can't wait to read it, especially after reading what you write about it! I will let you know what I think about it, too! (:

Have you started reading it yet Psycho Kitty? I found this interview with Cynthia Lennon where she talks about a lot of the things she mentioned in her book, plus some music and comments from John. Scroll down to Original Cyn. peteadequate.podomatic.com/Most of the other podcasts on there are worth listening to as well.
