www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/144248.htmlNew York, Nov 19 - Former Beatles legend John Lennon's personal assistant May Pang has revealed in her new book 'Instamatic Karma' that the singer was planning to buy a house for them in Montauk. She writes that Lennon in 1975 was impressed with the Hamptons after he stayed with Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger, pagesix.com reports. She said: 'During that visit, John and I saw a lovely Scottish-style cottage which was for sale, next to the famed lighthouse owned by Peter Beard and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. John decided it was time for us to have our own home and asked the real estate agent to show us the place. We fell in love with it and were about to put a binder on it the weekend of February 1st.' She doesn't explain why the plans didn't pull through and just added, 'Some things just weren't meant to be.' Pang had no idea how serious her affair with Lennon would get when his partner Yoko Ono encouraged her to have an affair with the singer.

I read that article online yesterday. She revealed this information way back when in her book Loving John. And if the writer did some research, he would have found that the plans fell through because John and Yoko got back together by Feb 1975. Geesh!
But...I am really looking forward to May's photo book. I LOVE John's 1974 look, and there are bound to be some gorgeous photos of him in there.
