Oh, I'll admit it straight away. I love this album. I like Cleanup Time quite a lot, I don't know why but it sounds so... familliar? Anyway, I think (Just Like) Starting Over or Woman is my fav song... Can't really decide to be honest I like Yes I'm Your Angel least (and don't ask me why, I don't know why probably cos Yoko's written it or so, tho I think Kiss Kiss Kiss is quite... well I don't even start talking about that ) **** Not the highest, I think Imagine still is a bit better But really, I can't rate them. I suck at ratings, think it is too difficult.

Please rate each track out of 10 (where 1 is the lowest and 10 is the highest)
1. (Just Like) Starting Over - 10 2. Kiss Kiss Kiss - 8 3. Cleanup Time - 9 4. Give Me Something - 4 5. I'm Losing You - 9 6. I'm Moving On - 4 7. Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy) - 9 8. Watching The Wheels - 10 9. Yes I'm Your Angel - 5 10. Woman - 10 11. Beautiful Boys - 5 12. Dear Yoko - 8 13. Every Man Has A Woman Who Loves Him - 9 14. Hard Times Are Over - 8
Which song(s) do you like best? Woman is my favourite song on the album and I think it was one of his best solo songs. I also love (Just Like) Starting Over and Watching The Wheels.
Which song(s) do you like least? One of Yoko's – either I'm Moving On or Give Me Something. I didn't choose those just because Yoko wrote them – I do think some of her other songs on the album are okay.
How many stars would you give this album (where * is the lowest and ***** is the highest)? ****
Other comments about this album: I love Double Fantasy but I prefer Imagine and Plastic Ono Band.
I think it was a good idea from John and Yoko's point of view to have both their songs mixed together on the album, because it forced people to listen to Yoko's songs who wouldn't usually have given her music a chance. But, I think Double Fantasy would have been a lot more successful if it had only been John's songs.

I have reviewed all of the others, might as well give this one a go. Double Fantasy came about as a direct result of Lennon finding that he could write again, he was coming out of his House Husband era and a writers block. By his own account he had not picked up a guitar in several years. All of the songs on this album and Milk and Honey were written very quickly. In hindsight it appears that Lennon had a premonition of his impending fate (a claim he made to his personal assistant Fred Seaman) as work was literally spewing out of him. John Convinced Yoko that the time was right and the couple set about recording what would become the last work they would do together. It's interesting to note that this album starts in similar fashion to Plastic Ono Band with the ringing of a bell, no funeral bell this time, it was Yoko's wishing bell a small glass bell and the sound it produced was quit pleasing to the ear. Just like starting over is a classic rock 'n' roll style track, Lennon proclaiming to Yoko that it is time for them to start over as their love is what matters the most. I'm losing You relates to a period when John was unable to contact Yoko on the phone or even get an appointment to see her. The best song on this release, for any of you fathers out there, would have to be Beautiful Boy, Lennon can explain it better than I. Close your eyes, Have no fear, The monsters gone, He's on the run and your daddy's here,
Beautiful, Beautiful, beautiful, Beautiful Boy,
Before you go to sleep, Say a little prayer, Every day in every way, It's getting better and better,
Beautiful, Beautiful, beautiful, Beautiful Boy,
Out on the ocean sailing away, I can hardly wait, To see you to come of age, But I guess we'll both, Just have to be patient, Yes it's a long way to go, But in the meantime,
Before you cross the street, Take my hand, Life is just what happens to you, While your busy making other plans, Track 10 is the wonderful, Woman, again Lennon at his best, this album is easily one of Lennons most enjoyable releases, Yoko has got herself a bunch of good songs as well and many instances throughout this album comes across stronger than John. 1. (Just Like) Starting Over - 9 2. Kiss Kiss Kiss - 9 3. Cleanup Time - 8 4. Give Me Something - 7 5. I'm Losing You - 9 6. I'm Moving On - 7 7. Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy) - 10 8. Watching The Wheels - 7 9. Yes I'm Your Angel - 8 10. Woman - 9 11. Beautiful Boys - 6 12. Dear Yoko - 7 13. Every Man Has A Woman Who Loves Him - 7 14. Hard Times Are Over - 7 Stars **** (four stars) Love and peace, peace and love

My problem is that the 80s were starting to take over John, let alone Yoko. It had a very sterile sound to the album. It had a cold feel to it. It didn't feel like Lennon. I mean, the songs were genuine Lennon, but it lacked that warmth most John Lennon albums had. And that is why Critics didn't go well over John's comeback.

I love them all, I can't choose one for that How many stars would you give this album? ***** Other comments about this album: This album has beautiful songs, but it can be really sad too. It shows that John was starting a new life (Just Like Starting Over shows it perfectly). I am sure that he would be a better person and if he could continue, he would have done a lot of beautiful songs more...that's why I definitely love the album, John's last gift to the world.

My favorite songs on Double Fantasy are Just Like Starting Over and Clean Up Time. I also like Woman. I often wonder if John would still be married to Yoko if he was still alive.
