Milk and Honey was released posthumously in 1984. All of John's tracks were recorded simultaneously with the tracks that appeared on Double Fantasy. The same format was applied with a John song, Yoko song. All of John's songs were somewhat stripped in comparison to what had appeared on the Double Fantasy album but rather than diminish the impact, these songs were strengthened by the sparsness of the recordings. Yoko's tracks were very much in the same style as explored on the Double Fantasy recording and over all although this album was not as strong as the 1980 release it still works. My favourite track is without doubt the brilliant Nobody told me, a ripping track that rocks, Lennon was also getting in touch with the current music craze of the early 80's of reggae on tracks like borrowed time. My least favourite track would be your Hands, nicely hidden in the middle of the track listing in the hope that we will over look it I think. Still over all not a bad effort especially as Yoko would have had to get this work together on her own. 1. I'm Stepping Out (7) 2. Sleepless Night (6) 3. I Don't Wanna Face It (6) 4. Don't Be Scared (5) 5. Nobody Told Me (8) 6. O' Sanity (6) 7. Borrowed Time (7) 8. Your Hands (4) 9. Forgive Me My Little Flower Princess (6) 10. Let Me Count The Ways (6) 11. Grow Old With Me (7) 12. You're The One (5) Over all I would give this album *** 1/12 (3 and a half stars) The re-release contains bonus tracks including demo versions and a 1980 interview with John and Yoko. Love and peace, peace and love.

I consider this album canon with the other JL albums, despite the fact it was released in 1984. Most of the tracks are very good, even if it does not live up to the standards of his music. I think if John was alive during the 80s, I always felt that he wanted a stripped back production as most artists in the 80s were ruined by the 80s synths. I have an ear for muzak, and I can tell that he was very happy. And that's all that counts.

1. I'm Stepping Out - 9 2. Sleepless Night - 6 3. I Don't Wanna Face It - 9 4. Don't Be Scared - 5 5. Nobody Told Me - 10 6. O' Sanity - 6 7. Borrowed Time - 8 8. Your Hands - 4 9. Which song(s) do you like best? I love Grow Old With Me and Nobody Told Me.
Which song(s) do you like least? Two of Yoko's songs, Your Hands and You're The One. Of John's songs, the one I like least is Forgive Me My Little Flower Princess, which in my opinion is one of the weakest songs he ever wrote.
How many stars would you give this album (where * is the lowest and ***** is the highest)? ***
Other comments about this album: I think Double Fantasy was a stronger album than this one, but there are still some very good songs here.

... I like least is Forgive Me My Little Flower Princess, which in my opinion is one of the weakest songs he ever wrote. Music is diverse as i thought that was a strong song of his... as i think nobody would of been better if ringo sang it.

Well, I don't dislike it, I just don't like it as much as most of his other songs. As for Nobody Told Me, I love John's version but it would have been interesting to have heard Ringo singing it.
