undercover.com.au/News-Story.aspx?id=1874Paul McCartney has christened his upcoming studio album 'Memory Almost Full'. The album, his first since 'Chaos and Creation In The Backyard' was produced by David Kahne (The Strokes). McCartney is investigating new business models to promote the album. For starters, it will be initially released through Starbucks in the US and generally through Concord Music and distributed through Universal. The album is said to reflect his Beatles and Wings period and will include a 15 minute suite, similar in style to side 2 of 'Abbey Road'. 'Memory Almost Full' will be released on June 5th. --- I don't know how accurate this information is. Nothing on Paul's official site yet.

Not long to wait until June! I'm looking forward to this new album (any new Beatle or Beatle-related project is exciting to hear about). I think Paul's music went downhill a little in the 1980s (just my opinion) but his last few albums have been excellent. Let's hope this one will be as good as Chaos and Creation.

I think I probably agree with you on Paul's 80s music, Jean. I know a lot of people like it, but I prefer the stuff he did in the 70s with Wings and his more recent albums (especially Chaos and Creation in the Backyard, Driving Rain and Flaming Pie). His best 1980s album in my opinion was Flowers in the Dirt. I like "Put It There", "You Want Her Too" and "That Day Is Done". I think maybe working with Elvis Costello helped give him some inspiration.

Okay I work @ Barnes & Noble and whenever a new release comes out we have it on our radio. Well the other day I almost had a friggin heart attack b/c we got our in-store play of MAF and it's not even out until the 5th!!!!!!!!! I was so friggin excited and all my co-workers think I'm a weirdo and were like "I didn't even know who it was", but the concensus seems to be that it's the best thing we have on our playlist right now(compared to some weird Hawaiian, yodeling, mariachi thing)

Certainly it's a great album. My uncle gave me it as a present yesterday and I loved it! In fact, I am listening to it right now!

Been a busy summer but finally got around to downloading Pauls new CD off Limewire and I have to agree, its pretty good Some songs are a little short, in fact a lot are. But one standout short song is That was me Pauls voice sounds very youthful and powerful Well done for a change Paul Only took 25 years to release something great but better late than never

I think Paul's last two albums, Chaos and Creation and Memory Almost Full are his best work since the 70s. I agree That Was Me is a great song. I like the reference to the Royal Iris, which was a River Mersey ferry where the Beatles used to perform.

There's another Beatles reference in the song with "sweating cobwebs in a cellar on TV", obviously the Cavern.
